    CHANDLER NEXT YEAR

He continues to shoot the rest of the year at the rate he is now, he's NBA bound. Would like to see him at UK another year but also want what's best for him.

I think he comes back and works on his short game. He’s not chasing the dollar it seems.

He has to work on his dribble and dribble drive stuff. He needs to work through some contact. If he is back he can be a game changer for sure. That is if he keeps developing. I hope Jeli is back but do not expect it. If he is and has year 2 in he system he can be a very good stretch 4 guy. He just needs to learn to guard better. Now Aberdeen is he a JR or SR? Man Pope has to find a main guy, OO but better. I think if we keep Moreno and have Potter coming off the bench we have a one two punch there. If Williams is back we have the same at the 4 spot. Chandler should probably play the 3. Guards and small forward will be biggest need if we get back the guys on this post. Would love a dominate inside guy and MM might just be that for us next year. Quicker movement, quicker off the bounce. Natural 7 footer progression from Freshman to Sophomore.

I was really high on Chandler coming into this year. Thought he was just rusty from 2 years away and had crazy potential. That the end of last season wasn't a fluke but was a reawakening. I think he can be a VERY good player as a junior (senior?). He can be an important part of a great team. The question is, can we assemble a great team.

I would be really surprised if he enters the draft. I am more worried about him transferring to BYU than I am the NBA.

I'd say there's a good chance he's gone. If Cal was the coach, he would be for sure.

I really dont worry about Chandler leaving but who knows with todays NIL lanscape. I do look for JJ to transfer and I hope that we can find someone better than Garrison for next year.
I do hope that Pope can get either Josh Hubbard or the Tanner kid from Vandy for next year. Get one of those and bring back Moreno and Chandler and you have a very solid core to build around.

I know that Jasper hasn't had a stellar freshman season, but I don't think him transferring is as definite as many seem to think. He has some of the deepest UK ties possible with his dad, uncle and grandfather. If he can eventually be a significant contributor here - which I think he can - then I feel like he stays.

He's sure played like we hoped he would. Last year toward the end of the year, he started to show signs.

I think his confidence is sky high.

Pope made a statement awhile back that he would like to retain all of the guys for next year with the exception of 00 and DA obviously who graduate.

Hope so but with most kids the money and playing time is all that matters.
