Pope fined $25,000 by SEC
The SEC has fined Kentucky coach Mark Pope $25,000 for his "post-game conduct and comments" following his team's 75-74 loss at Auburn on Saturday.Tags: None😡 1 -
The refs should be held accountable for their mistakes, but instead it's continuously allowed in games all over the USA.👍 1Comment

We stick mics in front of the faces of coaches and players after tough losses, I see no reason why the refs can't answer questions from the media. Allow 2-3 questions to be asked to the refs after games and you can help increase accountability. As it is now, refs are way more protected than coaches and players and that isn't right.👍 1Comment

If a coach is in a hallway talking to one specific person (say an AD), he should be able to say what ever he wants. He is not addressing media or at a press conference. Any coach or for that matter players should be able to talk to each other or coaches and such in a hallway. If overheard should not matter.
If a coach goes in a press conference, talks directly to media member then a fine because of the rules.Proverbs 25:24Comment

He said what he said so that it would be heard by everyone. Stupid to fine him and what he said was so PG and vanilla it perfectly encapsulated who he is.If a coach is in a hallway talking to one specific person (say an AD), he should be able to say what ever he wants.
