The worst aspect of CBB/SEC officiating?

Admittedly, I don't watch a lot of BB nowadays and one reason is the atrocious officiating which tends to adversely affect the game's flow and outcome. But, I'm curious about what most fans think is the worst aspect of crappy officiating.

There are several that I notice:
    1. Woeful inconsistency throughout the game. Some contact is allowed on a trip down the floor, the next two will have fouls called, then contact will be ignored for many times before even mild contact will be whistled for a foul.
    2. Inserting themselves into a game's narrative and outcome. At the final buzzer, fans should be talking about how the team played, not how a critical call or two decided the outcome. As an official, you want to call every play correctly, but you do need to be aware of the situation and the clock. Make sure your call during those do-or-die situations is consistent with previous calls, the play in question can't be a gray area - let the players decide the game, not the officials.
    3. In some cases, I've noticed officials being out of position to see the play but they make the call, anyway.

I don't believe officials are biased against a school, but they certainly can be a bit sensitive to a particular coach who gives them a lot of crap during a game. The really good official tunes most of that out and doesn't let personal feelings interfere with his duties.

Agree. It's bad. It's killing fan interest and it's surprising those in charge don't realize that.

This is spot on. I don't see conferences or the NCAA really doing much to improve the quality of officiating. There is no accountability for them. Let's take Doug Shows for example and the Arkansas game. If he's gonna have the quick of trigger finger for us he needs to 1. Be pulled off UK games if he's gonna be that sensitive. 2. Considering he gave two more the next game he officiated he should have been suspended for the week if he can't control his emotions. Playes and coaches are expected to held to certain standards why not officials? Last night KD Burnett and Par Adams let Rick Barnes call that game. They all but handed him the whistle. Again, I say if you can't be consistent on both ends officiating is not for you. Last night was the perfect example of the whistle was different depending on which side of the court you were on. And that's the biggest problem with officials across all conferences. Consistency.
