    Who wins the SEC

It seems the league is wide open. Preseason I thought Bama would be the favorite, but they are taking some lumps. Texas AM is up top right now (7-1) but have yet to play any of the top teams. Florida is 2nd (7-2), and after that it becomes a log jam with 6, 5, and 4 win teams.

I think it's going come down to the wire to win, guess I'd pick between Florida and Vandy. Maybe a slight edge to Vandy after looking at their remaining schedule. I am still holding onto some hope that UK can finish in the top 4 and get a double bye in the SECT.

Without analyzing remaining schedules closely, I would just guess it's Texas A&M since they've taken care of business so well so far. UK is likely to finish in the top 4 or 5.

If Bama learns how to properly use Bediako, I'd give them the edge. But if not, it's Florida.

I think fla because of experience and coaching. Vandy and arky are both talented and could be there in the end.
right now, I think the Cats are on the outside looking in because of their schedule but would not count them out because of their head scratching season. This team is bi polar, never know which team is going to show up.

Florida followed by Texas A&M just due to their weak schedule.

Just PLEASE not Arkansas—they really turned me off the other night. And PLEASE not Tennessee—they’re Tennessee. Hopefully not Alabama—don’t really want to see a 2 year pro lead them to any success.

              I’ll say Florida.

Still would LOVE to see some Cats shock the world and win it. But I’d be as shocked as anyone.

I think Fland gives the Florida team edge they need to win the SEC. Defense may be their weakness.

Ultimately, I think Florida takes it.

UF will win the SEC regular season title. Their frontcourt is amazing. Their coach is the best in the business right now.

When they get to the NCAA, though, their guards are going to take them as far as they can go, which I think is a Final Four ceiling. I cannot see them repeating with Lee as their primary PG.

Right now, every team in the SEC is flawed. Once UF steps back outside the conference, and face some really good teams with balanced rosters (Purdue, Houston, Zona, UConn, Michigan, Michigan St., etc.) they will have a tough time. Fland is good, but the other guards are mediocre.

But they are the class of the SEC and the only SEC team I see making a Final Four run.

Arkansas could get hot, because Acuff is maybe the best PG in the land, but I doubt he has enough help inside to get the job done. I also question Cal’s coaching. He is not a very good bench coach. That will hurt them when they play really good teams.

Bama has the guards, but they could go cold and shoot themselves out of a game against really good competition.

A&M hasn’t really beaten anyone yet, but I don’t think they can sustain the winning outside the SEC.

UT, UK, and Vandy all have major flaws that will lead to their early demise, IMHO.

The rest of the SEC are just fighting for survival.

So, to me, it’s UF. They are better than everyone else in the SEC, but probably not true title contenders.

I would be shocked if an SEC team cut down the nets this year.
