This University needs to make a decision. Well, two decisions. First, fire Barnhart and then put Pope on the same plane and run him out of town too. This is a complete clown show and it's not going to get better.
Sometimes watching these guys it's almost as if they've never even played or practiced together. No flow on offense. Too much dribble dribble dribble. Not enough ball or player movement. Very frustrating.
Pope guessed wrong on a couple of guys he brought in.Compound that with injuries and you see what we had last night. After watching Arky last night, they will beat the brakes off of us Saturday. This is not a top 25 team How that even happens at UK is another question that I will not attempt to answer

Barnhart will never be fired, but the powers that be need to make sure he enters retirement this summer.

It's way more than that. There is nothing under the umbrella of coaching that Mark Pope does well. Nothing!
No offensive identity.
No defensive identity
Poor talent/fit evaluator
Doesn't motivate
Doesn't lead
Poor preparation
Poor game management/substitutions
Players not in game shape
Terrible recruiter
Terrible CEO
He used to be good at winning the press conferences. He's not even that now.
It's proven to be a colossal failure of a hire.
He's a great guy. Always positive. Great cheerleader. Was a great player and teammate for us. He should never have been hired for this job. Things are not getting better. If he's allowed to stay another year, and I tjhink he will be, we will look back on this season with fondness.
I think Pope did a fantastic job last season Coaching his team. Those kids played for the name on the front of the jersey, this years players at least most play for themselves and $$. Heard KY with the highest payroll in The land doesn’t have 1 top 50 player. Hard to win with no studs and guys injured and playing me ball. Pope gets next season to put together a team to compete if they don’t he will be ran out of town.

I'm absolutely mystified how we got from an extremely likeable team with eight top-15 wins to a team that too often appears uninterested and unwilling to prepare and/or play hard. I'd have to agree that CMP was just bad wrong assessing this particular group of personalities.

Last year was a bit of smoke and mirrors. That team was not good. They grabbed some huge wins but everything happening this year also happened last year. We lost to Ohio State by 20, Georgia by 13, at home to Arkansas by 10, Ole Miss by 14, Alabama by 13, Auburn by 16, Alabama by 29, and Tennessee by 13. We had 12 losses, came in 6th in the SEC and were fortunate to get a reeling Illinois team to get to the Sweet 16.
Pope's tenure cannot be described as anything but a disaster so far.
