The way we have played in Nashville this season, don’t count on winning a game in the SEC tourney.

I have saw teams lose by 30 plus then very next game win by 30 plus against a better team than they lost to.
That is true. I have seen that also. But I am not sold on this team or this coach. Too many times we have fallen behind by double digits. It is either bad coaching or poor construction of the team considering all the money we spent to fall behind like that against high majors. Just my opinion.

Maybe he has binoculars that can see into the future.

I hope I am wrong but I think the days of Kentucky dominating College Basketball like they once did are long gone regardless of who the coach is.

They will likely have a season or two here and there where they make deep runs and maybe even win a championship. But i don't ever see them being a title threat nearly every year like the old days

                  Ain't gonna happen.

Though, it ain't the worst Idea I've heard lately.

Damage control. Triage. This wasn't a great hire. Barnhart panicked. Unfortunately, we've got no choice but to watch it play out.

The stat line on this one is as ugly as I have seen in a long time.

I've followed Kentucky Basketball since the 70s and have read the history of the program back to Mauer, Brumage and Hayden. "Being a title threat nearly every year" has never been a reality. At best, it was 3 to 5 year stretches at a time with gaps of 7 to 12 years of lower level performance in between.

Cal's run from 2017 to 2023 took a lot of momentum away from the program and Pope isn't getting it done despite his "understand the mission" talk.

Kentucky likely won't get back to Elite until Barnhart is retired and Pope has been gently ushered out the door. Kentucky cannot be considered elite until they are dominant within their own conference. We aren't even close to that this year or last.

                        I'm hoping for this.

Thing is not with this team. This team has not beaten anyone in the top 25 and have not even been close to beating them (sans St Johns) which is floating around the top 25. This team cannot beat a power 4 team by 30. Cal will have his guys ready to take it to UK. But he will try to keep it close if he can. He would love another year of UK at this level and make Pope the rebound coach, you know he coach you get to replace the old coach till you find your new coach.

Me too. But, history with this team says it won't happen. I look for another humiliating loss and for the natives to grow even more restless.

I fell asleep during the 2nd, woke up saw the final score and went to bed. There was a point where a bad loss would keep me up at night, now a 20+ beatdown doesn’t phase me. I don’t know if that’s good or bad lol
