Whenever he is in the game, he needs to touch the ball everytime we are on offense. Even if he doesn't get a shot, he does enough to draw the defense to him. That will open up someone else.

That should have been made clear day 1 back in the summer before the first transfer was signed..
This is was and has always been HIS team since he announced he was coming back.
The announcers made the comment today both Pope and Beard are still trying to figure out who's the go to guy to close out games REALLY????
I like Pope, goofy hippy style Bill Walton personality but for someone who is a Doctor, cmon man for real!!!
You didn't know Oweh your all SEC player who proved he could do it last year and carried you isn't your go to GUY????
This ain't 96 and we are not 12 deep...Comment

Good news.
Pope is NOT a doctor, medical or otherwise. You can stop judging him based upon that criteria and instead judge him as a "goofy hippy style Bill Walton personality" who has a earned a bachelor's degree in English from the University of Kentucky. I reckon that's a lower bar.

Then he doesn't seem to have any common sense or a feel for the game. I don't care if he played in the NBA guarding KOBE even Jordan or Bird, who cares. He could graduate with 50 degrees and be a carbon copy student mentored by Rick Pitino but if he was too stupid to see HIS TEAM THIS TEAM was OWEH'S, I don't know what to tell him, blind man could see that. SAME WITH JELAVIC...

I think he had some wild idea inside of his head this was 95-95 Kentucky and it's not... Even if it was, A. WALKER was the go too glue that made it stick in 96, everyone knew that. When you needed a hard to get bucket, you called on Antoine. When you need a hard bucket right now, you call on OWEH for better or worse, win or lose....
Pope may actually need to take note and read a page out of Calipari's playbook way back when.
Remember when the NCAA said the ENES KANTER could not play??
Remember when Josh Harrelson was sitting on the bench rotting away his college career but Cal had no choice to play him ?
Remember the time Calipari finally had to shorten his rotation and then ended up going on a little run, less meant more for him, maybe MARK POPE this year as well??
The fact the injuries have stacked up and the rotations have been downsized, lord and behold, we starting to win some games, imagine that??
With NIL, the days of having a super team 10 deep everyone involved may actually be a complete dying breed, who's going to sign up for that these days unless you throw the house at mediocre players??
In regards to his degree, good thing he obtained that back in the 90's, today it's all watered down. You have individuals with agenda's brainwashing and teaching all kinds of things, ask the young lady who graduated from UK a few years ago who was blackballed and reprimanded because she refused to back down and re write her thoughts on abortion, i guess free speech isn't free speech if it doesn't fit the agenda right??
Back to Pope and his coaching. Almost every good team that I have ever known builds around a star player, am i wrong??
I can't remember the last time a team of pure role players won anything at any level in any sport, basketball, football, baseball, etc...
If OWEH wasn't the clear cut guy from the get go, sounds to me promises had been made that could not be kept, hope he learns from that...

I love a good rant!
Be careful, though. There are a couple of stalkers here about that will start calling you Eeyore or some stupid romper room ish like that if you don't constantly sing praises and kumbayahs!“I love people as individuals, but I hate people in groups.”

So all other posters should agree with and praise every poster who rants and raves and talks down about the team and coach... especially after a thrilling comeback win? No dissenting allowed? OK???Last edited by Pete Hogwallop; 2 hours ago.👍 1Comment

Remember that Oweh likely wasn't 100% to start the year. And he was likely out of playing shape, too. He might just lately be back to full strength.Comment
