As much as I have been concerned about this season, the zero commitment issue is a huge deal in my opinion..

As much as we want to keep the faith and stay positive, something ain't right, doesn't make any sense.

I suppose the mentality is offseason free agent signings, so much for player development.

This is one and done on a different level.

Had I known this, probably would have been comfortable with the guy who brought NBA talent to the program each and every year...

If Pope is to stay here we have to get developed guys from the portal. There is absolutely no player development in the program now. Pope did well last season with already college ready to play guys. What Pope needs is 4 star type guys that think they are 5 stars and have been overlooked. Self motivated guys with a chip on their shoulder and something to prove. Preferably at least 2 years of college experience.

If a player needs to be motivated or to grow into skills then he is wrong for a Pope team.

In order to get back in we would need to beat Arkansas then both games at home next week Which include Tennessee again

I do worry about this offseason. I would assume we have a some unexpected transfers of our own, that's just the nature of the game now. I think Pope just needs to play the recruiting game, no more of the front of the jersey stuff- that's great for fans, not so much for a kid from Chicago who is looking to get paid, but would still contribute to the success of UK. I expect a staff shakeup, and hopefully a GM type who can be in charge of NIL evaluation and negotiations. There is too much smoke that Pope failed in that avenue.

They won't be back in the top 25 this season (next season is going to be worse just based on what we're talking about regarding recruiting). Just about every good team we've played has run us off the floor. I'll give them some love for St. John's and Tennessee. They came back against Louisville, but were down 20ish most of the game. Don't even need to mention Gonzaga. At some point the holes they've dug in seemingly every first half was going to come back to bite them. We saw that Tuesday night in yet another humiliating loss. Instead of worrying about the top 25, I think the question is, does this team make the tournament? At this point, I'd leave them out if I were on the committee.

Not saying you are wrong, but if the focus goes almost completely to the name on the back of the jersey (like it pretty much was under Cal), I'm probably out. To be honest, I don't even watch college basketball anymore other than UK and the NCAA tourney.

I think there is a happy medium to it all. I believe most guys grow to love the front of the jersey once they get acclimated into the program, but using that as the main selling point is outdated. Guys want to know how they will be used with some assurance and if they will receive their worth in NIL.

If I went to a job interview and all they talked about was how it's a privilege to work there, I'd probably keeping looking for a different job.

Hope im wrong but after Calipari spanks that blank on Saturday, the walls will officially be crumbling down for Pope.

It was fun until it wasn't, this job out of his league.

The way we have lost games this year is a total and I mean freaking total embarrassment.

Whether it was 5,10,15,20,50 million spent who cares, its feels like a buck of 5 you keep the change..

From coaching decisions, rotations, player personnel, what a freaking disaster..

Sorry not sorry, ready for a new era to begin.

First things first, better hang every freaking Kentucky Nba player poster on every wall. If you don't think that crap sells i don't know what to tell someone. This old school Pitino era of players all thinking "we are taking our school back " is a crock. Cal built something bigger than Pitino ever did in reality. Yes i loved the 90's, Pitino is and will always be my favorite coach (trap basketball) yet Calipari built something Pope not even remotely prepared for.

The problem for quite a while now with Kentuckybasketball. . Not only do we need and deserve a coach that can recruit the best of the best year in year out,but also a coach who is superior on the court coaching and off the court with the players mental prep (Calipari was the master at that).

If you can honestly say Pope checks those boxes then he's your coach. If not, I think the answer is very obvious..

I would rather have NBA basketball ball mind genius Rajon Rondo on the sidelines whooping a players a$$ than what we have now. The clueless looks the bs excuses has got old real quick....

Calipari is getting the last laugh on this one, don't even get me started on the JQ issue...
