My boss at work displays multiple flags, American patriotic stuff, even a life size of each president since we have been in business which is 40+ years. I have been there 22 of those years. One of our tech has been there as he 2nd employee ever 40 years. The first employee retired 6 years ago. The owner passed in 2018 and we still honor him with his love for this country. Nothing wrong with loving the country. I think Uni's in the past have had flags on them.

I didn't say that there was.

Don't see how wearing a flag on a basketball jersey is "loving the country".

I simply hold a different view. Kinda see putting the flag on a commercial product as a mockery of the sacrifice that many of my brothers and sisters made when they laid down their lives and gave of their blood for the country.

          That's just me.

I can understand that point of view. But you can see I hope the view of displaying the flag (in good context) (not flag underwear and such) as a way of also showing support for those that served and gave he highest of sacrifices as well. Each of us have our own way of displaying that level of love to those that served.

If an athlete is given the choice to do so, I'm fine with it.

Forced patriotism by commercial institutions isn't showing support or "love" to those that served. Just as I am not for taxation to show that I support the poor in place of personal charitable acts.

Now, pushing congress to fund VA hospitals....that's concrete support.
