    JQ officially out vs. UT

Bummer. I was hoping his "knee" issue would be resolved. We could really use him against their talented front-line. Oh well, next man up. GO BIG BLUE.

Yes that does suck. Now I'm beginning to wonder if there is some truth to the thoughts of him not playing the rest of the year to protect his draft status. I hope not.

In his situation I would if it was me. I think the learning from this year is to stay away from portal players with major injuries. The risk is not worth it.

As much as I hate to say this, given his dads dissatisfaction with how JQ has been utilized , it wouldn't shock me if he doesn't play another game for UK. I hope I'm wrong.

How could his Dad be dissatisfied with how he's been used? He's only been available a couple of games, played limited minutes and ended up with swelling in his knee. He probably wouldn't have been able to play more.

If I was an NBA GM, the thought of him having surgery, rehabbing, playing a miniscule amount, having more problems/complications, and shutting it down for the year would raise plenty of red flags. I know these GMs consult with surgeons, doctors and each team has their own medical staff, trainers and evaluators...but I couldn't help but be hesitant to want to draft someone in this situation. I would want to see more to rest easier and feel better about investing a high draft pick in that player

I'm going to go ahead and say that the JQ experiment was a mistake. I hope Pope never tries anything like that again, especially when NIL can be used for healthy players.

Roll the dice and sometimes they come up 7's. This time it appears to have been snake eyes.

                        Felt like he was mis-used
