I wasn't on the site last night but when I got on this morning I noticed things got chippy last night. We pride ourselves on being a clean and civil site. Posters are free to disagree with each other and to criticize the team but let's do it the right way. Most likely the team will lose several more games this season and some of the losses may be ugly. What I normally do if I find myself losing control I back away until I regain my composure. Thanks to one and all for your consideration in keeping the site the way it should be.

If it gets anywhere close to Cats Illustrated, I'm out - not that anyone would care. I don't know why people tolerate all the name calling, curse words and NC-17 language/inuendos on a public forum. I certainly don't and I appreciate those in charge here don't seem to either.

Unfortunately, it's the culture in which we live. So many no longer know or care to know how to debate without letting emotions overtake logic/discussion. Topics can certainly be emotional, and we can/will have emotions while debating, but now so many allow them to overtake the ability to discuss difficult (and some time not difficult) things.

I agree but it is also so rampant because most of these so called tough guys hide behind a computer. They would never say most of that stuff to someones face.

I think parental guidance factors in as well. In my opinion if children grow up in a wholesome environment I think they're more likely to be that way. On the other hand, if they grow up seeing dad and/or mom being disrespectful and using gutter language I think they're more likely to go in that direction.
