Last year was the worst the NIT has ever been. At least a dozen power conference teams declined the bid.
No chance Kentucky plays in tbe NIT. It is NCAA or nothing. As it should be.

How many 1st halves have we been down by double digits under Pope? Last year made some comebacks, this year not as much. This is a huge issue and falls mostly on the staff’s lack of prep.

Gotcha. I didn't think otherwise. NIT if it continues should strictly be for mid majors who had good years but failed to win the conference tournament and were left out of the NCAA. No power conference teams should even be invited Most just decline anyway. Use it for the smaller schools to play for a championship
