        Pearl is definitely off the table now bc you're right, he's not coming back to coaching. He would have crawled here in prior years. When Mitch struck out on his top tier (supposedly Hurley and Drew), I would have looked at a guy like Pearl or Sampson...someone to bring in for 5 years that is hungry as hell to win a title before they ride off into the sunset and then regroup after they move on. Mitch 100% panicked, didn't want to get turned down by anyone else and moved to presumably what should have been the 15th guy on his list.
