    What happened ?

Not trying to stir the pot but we looked like one of, if not the best team, in the country against Purdue. Then we imploded and it hasn't been the same... I know all about injuries etc, but it seems to me that this is something deeper and broader. When Lowe comes back, if that happens, who is to say, that he will play full bore. I just can't reconcile how someone as brilliant as POPE could have miscalculated this roster this badly. Very rarely, do i ever say that i am at a loss....

Pope gets paid a lot of money to figure it out and get it corrected. I think he will

Probably didn't do our team (or our fanbase) any favors....Winning a nothingburger scrimmage against Purdue.

I don’t think he will. This team looks so poorly coached to me. One of the bigger letdowns I can recall.

I think Purdue was fool’s gold. Sure, we looked better then than we have since. But it’s apparent to me that Purdue took that game as nothing more than a practice. In fact Painter may have wanted a loss as a little humble pie for his top ranked squad before games started to matter.

Our very next game was Georgetown and we looked like a mess. Have ever since against any sort of competition. Hope JQ and Mo can help soon. Can’t expect anything from Lowe at this point.

I said a few weeks ago that I thought we would lose to UNC and the Zags. Something is just not right with this team. Johnson's game is not what it should be and with Mo Dioubate, who Mark Pope confirmed had a lingering high-ankle sprain that will keep him out against the Bulldogs and if Lowe is out tomorrow i expect another loss. We need to get JQ back as soon as possible.

I honestly thought JQ would be back by now...not sure we will ever see him play

Although it really pains me to say it, I have thought the team has looked poorly coached from an execution standpoint this season. It pains me to say it because I'm a Pope fan and want him to succeed - and not just because he's the UK coach.

However, unlike the last 5 years or so of Calipari, I do think that Pope will always continue to work on fixing it and adapt to not only his available players, but situations and even constructing future rosters. That's why I was so down in the late Calipari years. I didn't have any faith that Cal was going to put any effort into fixing things.

And for those already starting to say they regret that he was hired or ridiculously already want him gone, he set the record last year for most wins over Top 15 teams in a season and took UK farther than we had been in many years in the tournament. I know he can and will succeed here.

High ankle sprain ranges from a few weeks to a few months or surgery.

Who knows when or if Dioubate will return?

If Cam Williams can get going and Pope is determine to stick with a 3 ball offense. Not sure why he just doesn't run Jelavic at C, Williams at 4, Oweh Aberdeen and Lowe if available.

What about JQ? If or when, move AJ to PF and let it role. All I know is AJ needs to be on the floor and get some touches.

I know I know , what about Chandler? A good 6th man coming off the bench to pick up the scoring load never hurt.

Williams and Dioubate (if he plays again)makes a solid 8 man rotation.

Personally I think we need to find the core guys and get a rhythm going before playing 10-12 guys...

I tend to agree. Even if this team gets it together, I still think they are well behind the top teams.

Injuries played a hand in this. Also seems we have a lot of decent pieces, but I am not sure if many of them go together; lack of chemistry. I have also been saying if Pope wants to play this style, he needs a team full of shooters.

                        What happened in a nutshell??

Preseason hype, Championship vibes, 22 million spent.

Players though they would just show up and the Fairy God Mother would waive a magic wand and just hand over the title.

Players getting paid, players coming here for more opportunities (aka shot attempts per game) and money, PURDUE fool's Gold exhibition, 5000 substitutions per game ( I suppose promises was made players want minutes) , all and any above. Then Louisville kicks us in the mouth, Michigan State punks us off the floor, players just folded and gave up throwing in the towel it seems....

We will be okay. We need the National Media to disrespect us, we need players to get into a US AGAINST THE WORLD state of mind and have some fight.

There is a chance Lowe may also play on Friday!!

All hands on deck, enough of the bs. I am sure the players handlers agents and all of the above have insurance policies on these players, no reason not to play if they can go...

In 2011 I watched Rajon Rondo dislocate his elbow and come back to help my Boston Celtics defeat the Miami Heat on one arm, hell he even dove for loose balls.

Pope just said Dioubate has a "torn" ligament and could be back maybe next week or weeks, hard to say.

In my opinion, I don't think we see Dioubate for a while, next man up!!!!
