What exactly are we running, though? That's my big issue. It appears to me as if we have 5 guys running a different offense and a different defense. It's most noticeable on offense, though. Somebody will dribble to a spot and automatically expect another player to be in another designated spot or cut or pick, and the person won't be there.

We look worse than street ball because at least there, the players know there is no plan. What I see is a team with 3-5 different plans all running at the same time. I first said it in the exhibition loss.

UK now 1-7 in last 8 games versus ranked teams. 15-12 overall since the start of SEC play last year.

When can the Pope experiment end?

Hate to say it, but I'm starting to think we're seeing why pope was barny's 3rd choice. The 90's nostalgia is great and all, but pope looks lost at times and the team does too.

He should get a little more than 1 season and a handful of games. His seat will not be hot this year. It might start to get warm next year if there isn't improvement. But I expect improvement.

I do agree that Dioubate would have been useful guarding Carolinas smaller but quicker Center and long rebounds.

Overall, AJ did a great job guarding Wilson.

Maybe both AJ and Dioubate need to be the 4 and 5 combo?

I like Moreno but he's slow, same with Garrison.

Chandler and Oweh play, question is the point guard position.

If Lowe comes back that answers that question but disappointed with Aberdeen. I assume he left Florida for more opportunities meaning more chances to score, wasnt happy with him jacking up bad shots last night..

Yup this is what I expected...Boo Cats are alive and well. With good reason, 1-13 from 3, out rebounded 10-12 minute scoring drought. At least these Cats were in a position to win last night vs the games with Loserville and MSU. I thought UNC may jave been the weakest of the three but the Losers are currently down 12 to Cal.
IMO, Pope seems to be struggling with with a game plan for these guys. Last year they rann thru Amari and if that failed he'd mix it up a bit. Didn't see a single decent screen to get Chandler or Noah open. Run a curl for Chandler? Something
Rebounding is about position and desire ....can't figure out if this is fully on Pope, these Cats or a mix of both.
Did like seeing the 1-3-1 zone press and the defense seemed solid. I realize the injuries but there are enough Cats to see thru a couple of injuries.

I believe these Cats are gonna get better and we have all seen discombobulated Nov/Decs before...even later. I also believe Pope is cooking something...just what it is, is hard to taste right now
