    Team Turmoil 2025 Edition?

[EDIT NOTE: Title should read "Team Turmoil 2025 Edition?"]

    I don't care. I don't want to hear it.

These are paid athletes. This isn't the old Kollege skool team. These bubbas accept stone cold cash to do a job.

If there are personality problems, they need to suck it up.

    They're getting paid now.

I don't get to pick and choose with whom I'll work where I'm employed. I can't stand several of the morons with whom I work. I suck that ish up and get the job done.

    Why?

I'm paid to produce results not win a freakin' popularity contest or love everyone.

    I don't care if they're 18 or 30. Suck it up. Period.

They need to start writing into the NIL contracts that if you don't produce, you don't get that cash.

    Garrett, get yo' money right.

Garrett in this case is Mark Pope.

I do not want to hear "personality problems" or "team turmoil" or "lack of confidence" or "I'm sad". They weren't sad or lacking confidence when they took that money.

All of this may well pass and the year ends on a high note, an Elite 8, a Final Four or a Championship.

I'll love it. If it ends like it is beginning where this team seems to devour cupcakes but wilts like chumps any time they play a real team, that is a distinct failure on the part of everyone involved.

I'm not that concerned about a couple of early losses to ranked teams. Ish happens.

However, the way this team lost to Mich St. The way they acted on the bench. The rumors swirling (that may be nonsense but seem to have fire burning within the smoke). That's concerning.

They're being paid good money to play a @#$%^%$#@%& game. They need to earn them dollars.

We are calling this team turmoil: WHY exactly, other than the wildest of internet rumors and some extremely ambiguous statements by the coach, what do you base this on. If you KNOW something I don't please feel free to enlighten us.

I meant to put a question mark at the end of that topic title.

      Oh well.

I'm not saying it is or it isn't.

But I've heard more than wild internet rumors and ambiguous statements by the coach.

I simply do not associate these two with turmoil.

Prince was so laid back and Bogans was an incredible college player. If only he hadn't been injured against Marquette and Dwayne Wade.

Today rumor has been Kam Williams put Oweh in a headlock before the Louisville game, Hawthorne stole Aberdeen 's girl, Oweh stole Dioubate 's girl.

Who knows, when there is smoke there's fire but hopefully it's just a bunch of bs.

Bottom line. There are obviously issues.

              Also, bottom line ----------> I don't care!

I don't care what they are.

They took the money to come play.

No one is paying them to mope or to lose or to have excuses.

No one paid them to whine on the bench or act like tools.

No one is paying them to be best buds.

No one is paying them to hold hands and sing kumbaya.

No one cares if they go to each other's weddings.

No one cares if they go to each other's funerals in 50, 66, or 75 years.

They're getting paid that NIL Money to bring Ws.

I DO NOT CARE WHAT THE ISSUE.

I DO NOT CARE ABOUT FEELINGS!

              I don't care.

              Don't care.

The time for excuses is over.

              It's time for results.

              Team Turmoil my booty.

It's time to be grown folks and focus and win.

Spit on it. Hug it out and move the #$%^ on!

Kind ds will be kids. If correct, taking someone’s girl IS a big deal. I haveto have faith that pope will straighten it out.

That's the thing in this day and age (and even the past several years). It ain't about the name on the front of the jersey anymore to 90% of these guys. When you shell out as much as UK did for this roster you can't really expect them to care as much about the program as they would otherwise.

Does not matter the issues. If Pope cannot fix the problems and teach them to put aside the differences in practice/games, we are a doomed team. We will win the simple easy games, a few SEC games and be home come march. If one person is causing the issues or seems to be the major player in the issues, cut bait and move on. If it is 4 or 5 then you might just have to bench them and play a slow style limiting possessions and still lose but move on. It is about 10 days from December. All issues should be resolved already. You go into December with same (whatever issues) then your season is done.

I don’t know that any of the rumors are true. But if ANY of it is then I definitely care. Because if there are internal problems it means a promising season of high hopes becomes a crap season. Maybe that’s selfish but I am a UK fan. I look forward to 6 months of entertainment from these guys. The fact they’re getting paid has no bearing on whether they give us entertainment or frustration. They give us a good product I’m happy. They give us garbage I’m upset.

I agree, I hope it's not as bad as it may see. Hopefully this team can pull together, hate to see Pope going through this kind of drama early on in his coaching career at Kentucky.

This is true. I was thinking about CALIPARI through all this and a situation like this makes Cal look like a saint, "how did he manage so many great players over the years without all the drama except for a few minor hiccups?" Then i remembered, Cal didn't have players making millions a year just to be there so it truly is a whole new era for any coach these days, especially at a place with a spotlight such as Kentucky...

Regardless of what is true or not, it absolutely sucks that this is the dominant discussion on UK hoops 5 games into the season. Sigh.
