Admittedly, the ul game and the cryptic comments from Pope afterwards got me a little antsy. However, I can say that is due to my extreme dislike of ul. I am ready to let it all play out.

Losing to U of L sucks, so does seemingly loosing out on all top recruits to be honest. I don't want a team full of one and done's but as the U OF L game showed, you still have to have one maybe two big time game changing talents. Talent still wins ball games.

I understand the old philosophy from the 90's recruit and develop a player in a system but with NIL, no guarantee that any players Pope brings in will be here the next year.

I hated one and done with Calipari but with college now, i think every year is a one and done type situation unless you pay and anny up.

College basketball is broken in my opinion. I still hope and believe this team can click on all cylinders and do something special but if OWEH can't get back to star player OWEH from last year, I think it's a problem. We still need a Superstar to take over a big game in my opinion...

I think we’re in the same boat. Preseason hype was just that, hype. I told my dad the honeymoon phase is over. People can say what they want, but it’s all about results. I think the staff will have some difficult decisions on who plays and who doesn’t going forward. They get paid the big bucks to figure it out.

Sports are weird. In a month we might be moaning about the same stuff, or it’s all forgotten as UK rattles off big win after big win. Time will tell.

At this point shamefully, just make the NCAA tournament and hope the Kentucky Purdue team shows up for 6..

turned the game off pretty early into it. I have little patience for uninspired basketball.

Injuries and a couple of obvious portal misses is making us struggle early. It doesn't help that our returning guys from last don't appeared to have improved at all. For whatever reason Oweh is playing poorly. Other than Chandler we don't have anyone that shoots 3s effectively and we shoot a bunch of em regardless. Watch UK play this year has been tough so far.

I'm usually pretty optimistic, but after watching what I could stomach of the game + the postgame media, something is wrong with this team right now that might extend beyond basketball. This doesn't look like a team that enjoys playing together. We're not hitting the open man. Body language is poor - players and coaches. Something is amiss.

If I am being honest, Oweh (turnovers, effort), Johnson (poor shot selection, not strong with the ball), and Garrison (poor defense, rebounding) are liabilities in their own way right now. There's a lot of season left, and this stuff can be fixed if the team buys in and WANTS to fix it. If they don't, we could be staring at the bubble with the highest-paid roster in college basketball. Hopefully, Coach Pope and staff can get us where we need to go and quickly.

I’m trying not to be a Chicken Little, but I agree that something feels really off with the team right now. Losing games to good teams happens in basketball, but the way the losses are happening is concerning. There seems to be almost no chemistry between any of our players, which is especially obvious when we keep blowing defensive assignments due to the lack of communication. Pope’s weird postgame comments vaguely alluding to issues and blaming himself for not having a good read on the team only further the rumors that there’s some kind of internal turmoil instead of putting us at ease as fans.

It’s still early enough in the season that there’s time for improvement, but it appears we may need some major changes of some kind instead of just some regular fine tuning if we want to improve enough to contend for anything.

Mark Pope needs to do himself a favor and hire some MUSCLE on the bench.

Someone who is also not afraid to jump in their you know what and say what needs to be said, let someone else be the bad guy.

There some legit issues, an overreaction by some, perhaps ? But to say there isn't legit issues isn't correct either.. I hope we can get these issues turned around. Just the lack of effort was the most alarming thing.. jmo
