UK has serious problems down low. Garrison hasn't improved and is giving us nothing on offense or defense. Mo got exposed tonight. He is tough but not quick and can't score much. Oweh is obviously still slowed down by turf toe injury. So basically 3 spots give you NOTHING offensively and very little on defense. Finally neither Garrison or Moreno pass or shoot well enough to run that high post offense Pope likes. JQ better play soon or these guys will lose 10+ games. Folks saying "We will be fine" aren't paying attention.

Agree. We’re 5 games in and I’ve not really been overly impressed. For this to be a good defensive team, well ok. Been a few games now where it’s like - meh. Offensively, not a lot of great shooters. Going to be an up and down year, 6-10 loses out of this team.

Way too early to tell and we do not have JQ yet. This team has all the pieces to be elite. Even elite teams have bad nights. I am not throwing the BIG BLUE BABY out with the bathwater. I will take each game closely and see how we continue to grow.

Louisville wanted it more... especially their fans. I don't think I've ever heard a UL crowd as into a game as they were tonight. I swear, for a second I actually thought they were going to storm the court there at the end.

I didn't post this in this forum, because I'm not all about pissing off fellow Cats fans....but I told a couple of people today here in Texas and text a couple more friends and told them I thought Louisville was going to win. Not because I think they're a better team, but because that's the law of averages. That Georgetown preseason loss was a bit of an eye opener, and the team isn't 100% healthy. Add in that Louisville is a really good team, the game was at their place, and the "they're due" theory....and everything just pointed to this outcome.

Oh well, it's early...and it's just one game. I'll trade this out of conference loss for a sweep of Michigan State, Indiana, Gonzaga, UNC and St. John's.

Lowe was super frustrating tonight because he was playing too much hero ball and not involving his teammates. Oweh was the same to a lesser degree. But Lowe should be fine and see better games ahead... hopefully Pope has a nice, long talk about what he wants, needs and expects from him going forward.
