As much as I like Collin Chandler, I do not like him playing the point. For a minute or two to spell someone or to end the first half, etc., that's fine...but not much more. Honestly, I would have him 4th on the depth chart at PG behind Lowe, Aberdeen, and Johnson.

Good opportunity to get these young guards some good minutes. Struggles in November lead to wins in March.

Johnson has some juice to him but at this point in his development I’m not sure he is really a lead-the-team type player. Definitely looking for his shot first. It would be nice to have someone like Amari Williams who can take some of the playmaking responsibilities when the PGs are out/struggling. Garrison has moments but was sloppy with the passes tonight.

Well, if we want to be naively optimistic, Pope could be playing his cards close to the vest. I tend to think he's not, though.

Definitely agree. That's the part of his game that worries me a little. I think Pope is going to have to reign him in a little when his shot isn't falling, because he has a shooter's mentality and will likely keep jacking it up when he should be looking to dish. That said, he definitely has the handles and ability to dish the ball and play the point, but I've noticed the same thing that you have about him.

It's a shame for fans. He made what he felt was the best decision for him at the time.

Chandler can’t play the point. Someone here argued he could.

But point guard play had nothing to do with that lack luster effort.


Just an embarrassment for UK basketball.




Poor play. No preparation. If everyone involved with UK basketball is not embarrassed by that game then they need to go.

Chandler may be able to run point in spurts when needed but if it's long term, we are in trouble. Nothing against him it's just not who he is...

I know it's early but right now I am concerned about lack of shooting from the outside...

Still, no need to drive downtown Louisville and jump off the second street bridge into the OHIO, i think we will be fine.
