    Memorial collesium

I don't know how much the configuration in the old place has changed, but who would like to see an OOC game played there once a year.
i know it would probably never happen because of the loss of money but still.....

It just went through an 82 million dollar renovation that reopened last basketball season for the ladies ( and volleyball season too). BTW I would love to see the fellas play a game or 2 in there a year.

I think they should do one of the directional school games there and make it just for the students. Give away prizes and such at all the timeouts.

This would be awesome and the competition makes sense.

They should have played the Gtown exhibition game there. Would have been a good watch on TV/Streaming.

Can't see them playing a game there because of money lost due to the size of Rupp.

True. And, I’m not a season ticket holder, but if I were and they took a game away I’d not be pleased. Most of us would like some youth and excitement closer to the action in Rupp. But those season ticket holders are making a sizable investment in the program.

I cut my teeth in the old yellow brick building. It was the best basketball venue in America in its pre-1977 configuration. The University should have never let it deteriorate like they did. The only thing that is Memorial Coliseum today is the exterior building. I will never be able to bring myself to go inside ever again. One of my happy places of my youth and young adult life is gone.

same here, it was the best venue in the country at that time. It was nicknamed THE HOUSE THAT RUPP BUILT.
