Who plans to watch or attend Big Blue Madness?

I'll probably catch a little of it on TV, however I don't think it generates as much interest for me as it did in the "good ole days".

Don't get me wrong, I'm more excited for this year as any year in at least the past 10 years or so, but we get so much more access to videos and reports now. It used to feel like you were seeing the team for the first time. It doesn't anymore.

I am curious to see how many others plan to watch or attend. Also, I can't believe we're on the cusp of another season and the last few days there has been even less activity on this board than there was over the summer. What gives?

First year I did not even try to get tickets to BBM or Midnight Madness. I have given away several over the years.

I will be watching for sure. Always excited for the official start of the season. Will be watching to see if Oweh does anything or not. See how the guys respond to their first real time in front of the fans. Hopefully we will see more basketball than announcers this year. I doubt that will happen.

Hope we get a good surprise or two from Pope for the fans in attendance. GO BIG BLUE!!!

I probably won't watch ..it doesn't have the same excitement for me as it did in the beginning and hasn't for a long time

The blue/white game doesn't quite generate the same excitement either but a little more so than BBM.

BBM is just a way to get excited for the coming season. It is an old fashioned Pep Rally with a little basketball thrown in there. It does what it is supposed to do and is for the younger crowd over us old folks. I will probably never go to one again (unless it was taking a young family member). Will always tune in and watch if able.

Players should be in denim coveralls with a jersey to come out. That would push the denim uniform lovers over the edge waiting on the uni's to show up in a game. I say they bring them out for the St John's game. Maybe UofL but who knows.

I will watch some of it, or record it. Who the hell in the Athletic Department decided to move it to Saturday at 6 pm? We don't have a football game and the team is horrible, but there are many other games of interest

I'll watch the highlights. It's boring to me personally to watch live. I prefer real games. When they play Purdue ilk care.

I lost interest in it the last several years and agree it’s due to the amount of media out during the summer. The exhibition games are the start of my basketball mode.

KSR live at Fan Fest had: Tubby, Kahlil Whitney, Darius Miller on. Also had Braden Hawthorne Dad on as well. Everyone speculating surprises. One stating SGA with his MVP trophy. I think OKC has a game during BBM tonight, so doubt that one. Tubby and Kenny Brooks (womens coach) are buds evidently.

Was a ton of people there and a tattoo shop on site doing free UK tats (perm tats) was wild to see. lol

Best part was a 7th grader talking smack to Jack Pilgram when he beat him on video. lol

I'll probably just watch the scrimmage part tomorrow morning. I don't care enough about the rest and there are some good football games on.
