You know it's pretty bad when Pope was on the verge of beating Kelseys U of L tail and nobody is talking about it lol lol ? ?.

When basketball season starts, lord willing, i will be here on a day to day.

No way I'm going through this year without chatting about Kentucky basketball the good bad and ugly.

Im in preparation for number 9. Roster is possibly as good as it will get and we have solid upper tier talent returning, why not now????

Honestly, with them and Lighthouse gone, there's only a few people on here I care to interact with, Matt Dillon being one I've always had a good relationship with. It's one of those situations where if you've got a loyal employee who's been around a long time, you should probably welcome their input when you expand the store and remodel as opposed to listening to the new guy who thinks they know what's best.

In other words, and I'll likely make some people scoff when I say this, but the Wildcat Nat....ughhh, faithful has turned into the good ole boys network. Maybe they can put that on a t-shirt to sell.
Or maybe since many new members are here the YES man fall in line or get ran over days are over?

Even though many haven't posted people would still visit read and not post. It just didn't go completely away over the years.

To be completely honest, i don't even want to give any of your post any attention at all, this one's on the house.

The fact you troll and stay up in your feelings on my post is mind boggling. It's a chat boatd where people have different opinions and different views, not that serious yet you always seem to have this underlying agenda that after all these years of me posting, you always have slick remarks. Dude I actually made phone calls to help you out yet all the hate? I have been on this board for 20 years plus and have been the minority me against the world 40 vs 1 time and time and time again. I never and I mean never intentionally start crap with people just to argue. Most all my post are SOLO.

Are you mad because I said AJ had a 7'5 Kevin Durant like wingspan?

Or what about me comparing Trent Noah's potential to Kyle Korver?

Oh I get it, the similar size height and color made it a bad unrealistic comparison?

My bad, chat board locker room talk ruins all credibility?

Actually ,I will agree on Korver, Noah does have a different build. I sat and had drinks with Korver Patrick Beverly and T. Jones in New Orleans one time. Korver is lucky if he even weighs a buck o 5. I think Noah could have a good career next level on the right team full of Super Stars that would allow him to simply sit in the corner spot up and take jump shots all day long.

There are a lot of great people who have been a part of WildcatNation and WildcatFaithful over the years.

            It's a great place.

There are strange agendas from time to time but those people usually fall to the wayside eventually. Either they leave of their own accord or they find some other place to ply their grumblings. Eventually, if you spend all of your time cyber bullying people, you're gonna get called on it.

            It's all good.

I'd encourage you to start a few posts and see if interest gathers.

In basketball, right now, it's a bated breath moment. Anticipation! Excitement! Wonder!

Is Pope going to bring it all together and get Kentucky back to the Final Four? How many wins? How dominant? Is Pope the future or was last year a fluke? Questions abound.

But we won't know the answer for a couple of months yet.

Once those Basketball games start, the board will pick up.

Kentucky has always been a basketball school.

The Football team usually gives you just enough to complain about with a year here and there worth celebrating. What's going to happen with Stoops and the Football team. Can they do something or will they end the year similar to last year?

The Basketball team has given Cat Fans incredible memories over the years and much to celebrate.

It will pick back up in November when Pope's latest team kicks into high gear.

Here's the good news. As UK basketball fans we don't have to spend countless hours these days online ranting and raving our frustrations. I think most of us can agree and assume our basketball program is in great hands with Mark Pope.

For the first time in a long time, maybe we can actually relax and enjoy the games again, just, enjoy the ride With Pope, it all seems to be under control.

Its the offseason. No big recruiting news right now, no real controversy going on ,nobody really dissatisfied with the coach. I mean how many " times can you post who will be starting. I actually think the activity on the BB board activity is a bit elevated this year. As for cliques of oldtimers, I' be never really seen any evidence of it and I was an old Wild cat faithful guy too. Trust me once the season starts there will be plenty of activity, especially once we lose the inevitable game or two.

And trust me, I am so thankful for that. With the previous coach, recruiting news and NBA draft night were the biggest and most important things going. Results on the court and during March were of little to no consequence. No, trust me ...I like the current way of thinking.... we'll retain some upperclassmen, add more through the transfer portal, and bring in 3 or 4 freshmen. No more entire starting lineups of 17 and 18 year olds and a mass exodus of one and dones at the end of the year

Agreed. Ya know, it really is amazing....I remember you and me complaining about BCG and I was so excited when Cal was announced as the new coach. And it was great....for about half a dozen years ...and OK for a few more....but those last 5 were miserable. I've never gone from being so much in favor of and on board with someone to wanting them gone so bad in my life!

I trust Pope to do what is right for Kentucky basketball. Not himself, like all Cal cared about...but for UK basketball. I agree that we've got a guy who will put the program and the fans and the school's rich and storied tradition above NBA draft night and whatever other "pat himself on the back virtue signalling" the previous coach did

Agreed, the last few years of Tubby and Cal was painful.

With Pope the question I ask myself is "do I feel like we can beat anyone on any given day?" Answer is yes for me, didn't feel like with Tubby or Cal in the later years. Actually didn't feel that way with Tubby ever to be honest. I am still a sore loser we didn't hire Donovan from Marshall 2 years in but I get it, UK is a big time school and Donovan was still unproven. I am still convinced BILLY D holds that grudge to this day.

I think we are in good hands now, truly believe that.

Agreed, it's the calm before the storm without all the drama.

The only drama I can see right now is a report POPE was going to put hands on little brother's coach. The dude must have done something pretty lame to tick Pope off to that extent..

This is complete nonsense. There is no clique, except for the one that took their balls and went home after we discussed a donation drive to help fund the tailgates. They even accussed me of keeping the site running in order to make a profit which #1 it has never done and #2 I would never do.

I have been here and at other places for years. This is home and always will be home.

                                1. Football has not given us much hope over the first couple of games and then EMU was what it was supposed to be. That is keeping some (including me) from posting on football. I just do not want to continue to post negative on football over and over. There is time for them to get better but coaching is the same.
                                2. Pope has done a great job of getting content out all summer. I tried to put all of that in one post where posters can go and click on tons of videos.
There has been some things to talk about this summer but not much. Pope and Kelsey at Kinneys house (probably overblown a bit), Oweh in a boot and JQ progress. Besides that really nothing to discuss much as the updates have been fun vids but not much content for sure.

                                3. Other sports does not do much on forum. Volleyball team is killing it most games but still have 2 blips to ranked teams on the screen. Soccer is doing well but I personally do not get into soccer much.

                                4. Political board which for some reason I am not part of any longer is into the first year of new president. As we get to mid terms or year 3 wit candidates it will pick up. I get tired of my Republican and Democrat friends going at each other. Especially in the past several years. I have been a member of both parties and have voted on both sides of the isle over the years. The rhetoric is just too much to keep up with all the time. And i think others are taking breaks from that as well.

Hopefully in about 19 days when BBM kicks off we will have more to talk about or maybe if UK can find a way to pull off the W at the Game****************s house then we might have more to post about. Last game I think I did 99% of the posts or it felt like it lol.
