I am pretty indifferent on new practice facilities. It was a hot topic during Cal's last few years here, but really I only ever heard three people say negative stuff towards the current set up- Trae Young's mom, Cal, and his buddy Greenberg. But this is how it goes and might as well have a top facility for UK. -

Seems like a lot of money being spent with minimal return on the investment. How much of a positive effect will this have on the basketball program

It's going to be put in with the UK HealthCare Sports Medicine ambulatory space and sports-related research space. Looks like probably the Men's basketball team and Football team will share in this adventure and will be part of the entertainment district close to Kroger field on campus. The women's basketball team and Volleyball team could take over historic memorial coliseum and the Joe Craft center ( the 85 million in renovations that just got completed) but they said those logistics haven't been worked out yet.Comment

Yeah, I think coaches overhype the whole facility aspect and in this era NIL is the biggest factor for player decisions. I use to ask this question on the old Rafters and never got an answer, but what makes the current set up "bad" compared to others? Uconn has won 6 titles the last 25 years, do they have a top 3-5 facility? Honest questions.Comment
