The AI spam bots are out of control. Same thing happening here at work and we pay people big money to monitor and stop all all that crap...


I use to day trade stocks back in the day, good luck with all that now unless you have a AI trading bot on your team. How could someone even remotely come close to out thinking a AI bot??

If not for Kentucky basketball or having children, i would disconnect all this crap including phone and throw it all in the river and never look back......,

I was on the phone with Sean when it hit. He jumped off the phone, but I think he said we were being bombarded by SPAM. I doubt it was the canned meat kind though.

It just amazes me the amount of attacks. I have Watchguard firewalls out there with realtime reporting on DDOS attacks and such. I had a small propeller shop in Cincinnati (on the river) get hit year before last. It was the Chinese government, got into a TLS port on small business basic router, We had all the protection up to date and such. In less than 5 minutes they hacked this firewall to have a US IP address, to get into DOD and steal what they wanted.

I got my first call from the FBI (being the company that installed the equipment) and went over everything, got into the system with agent proved the router was setup correctly (Taiwan Product) and it was something that was a backdoor thing embedded. I got the 2nd call within 10 minutes of the first call. It was NCIS team out of San Diego CA, had to go back through all of it again. We ended up putting a monitoring box from NCIS team but to this day no one has gotten back in to the product. After a week we had an upgrade from the manufacturer to take care of the TLS port issue. We did not upgrade for a while at NCIS and customer request. They really thought the group of hackers would try again.

So I get it. Great job Sean. I have not had to take care of server with issue (typically we do infrastructure and another group does software). I have seen some of the best in action.

Nobody has any patience anymore. It sounded so good back in the day. Our lives will be "easier" they said. I'll just stop there because I can stand on this soapbox all day.

Hey! We are semi-back to normal thought we lost about a week. It was an dd combination of being DDoSed at the same time as I was making some background changes. What resulted was a wierd polling issues so every post 'posted date' was being updated every minute. I tried for about 9 hours to find it manually in the PHP code before I had to admit defeat because my eyes were almost bleeding.

Good thing it happened before any of the seasons start. Perfect timing to get it figured out with the increased traffic. Kentucky football is winning 7 games this year brothas!

Kinda sad, but that would be a remarkable season with our schedule. I still say 4 wins, maybe 5 if we sneak off with one we shouldn’t.
