I always loved the energy/electricity of Thunderstruck for intros. But it's overdone. Everyone uses it.

So, If I were Pope/Mitch, I'd hire Beth Hart to come up with an arrangement of "Delicious Surprise" suitable for OUR basketball program intro - not others. Of course, incorporate the guitar solo and heavy riffs. Maybe change a lyric or two with a basketball reference, but a lot of them already work within the context of what we'd be looking for. You want to build a brand, I think something like this would be a boss move. Does Mitch have such a move in him?

As a guy who has been to several of the conference stadiums, I concur. One way to get the atmosphere better is to utilize the band more. Get rid of the coal whistle. You know what? I'm starting a thread on the football forum.

It's crazy someone asked this question. Few months ago there was a short discussion on one of these threads, I actually made a Kentucky basketball GAME intro song roughly 13-14 years ago. Recently I went back and modified it, re engineered it, mixed it down, still think it's good to go. Only thing missing would be the rights to use Cawood Ledford's voice to make it all the way live.

In years past I used to know many people at UK but that's pretty much dried up. Occasionally I will bump into ISSEL at a neighboring restaurant and have got to know him vaguely over the past few years ( has a farm here) but still think it would be weird asking a favor.

Anyways, wish I knew someone at UK that could put my song ( Into instrumental )in the hands of the right people at UK to take a listen.

It will sell and I can sell it but for any other team it just wouldn't feel right, it was made for UK basketball...
