Predictions for upcoming season

What predictions are you feeling for UK this upcoming season, and the overall landscape of college bball?

UK
- the team will be right there in the SEC season race, but probably doesn't win it all due to schedule. get a double bye and win SECT
- Oweh will be 1st team SEC and an AA
- somehow we will get paired up against BYU in the NCAAT
- JQ gets healthy and becomes Pope's first lotto pick
- I do think UK loses to Purdue in the exhibition. Some will freak out, but will be a good test going into the season

Non-UK
- ACC will suck worse than last year. Not buying the duke hype and still not sold on ul
- Houston will get back to the FF
- At least two of Cal, Pitino, Self, or Izzo hang it up


Oh, and SEC refs will continue to be terrible.

The women of Duke will be restricted to playing for the women's team.

OWEH is in the POY race. Chandler makes a big jump forward and provides valuable minutes. We see our new guys add what we were missing last year. Lowe lives up to the hype, JQ locks down the interior on the defensive end with Mo. Aberdeen and Williams give us what we need on the perimeter. Elite 8 at minimum but think we get to the Final Four. It's exciting to be excited again.

I don't want to sound like a cool aide drinking blue tinted cheerleader but I seriously think we win it all if the stars can align.

Roster wise, not sure if it will ever get any better than what it is today. All the right pieces in place plenty of depth at all positions even in the era of postionless basketball..


We have A guru on the sidelines, analytical freak. Ex Kentucky Champion, ex NBA player, wealth of knowledge who absolutely understands the mission. In reality, Coach Pope probably loves Kentucky more than any of us if that is possible.


Biggest challenge in my opinion will be managing EGO's and getting everyone to BUY IN.

Keeping in to the simplest. I expect to really enjoy the season as a whole, throw something during a game this year. We are in the mix (1 of 6) teams to reach the final 4. I expect we get jelavic here late and he is just way behind everyone else and ends up transferring to Illinois or BYU at the end of the year.

I think the cats and gators will battle it out for the SEC.
elite eight is reachable, the final four will depend a lot on the match-ups.

I think Chandler will.take a big step up

Very good, and much much much improved defensively. Our physicality will keep us right there in every game we play.

Still have some head scratching losses, but will have one or two huge marquee wins to offset them.

This is a great list, it's risky but reasonable. Bold but practical. I'm saying of the 10 listed here, 7 happen, maybe 8. Only weakness is no call on a FF or Natty. We should at least see a FF
