They said he got his visa and is enrolling when school starts. All the other players are leaving in Early August after summer classes end so there isn’t any point in him coming at that time.

Somewhat joking, somewhat truthful. But I wouldn’t be upset if UK stopped going after these type of international players. We seem to hit roadblocks with them that other programs do not.

UK goes after them all kinds of problems..... Rest of the schools go after them and they are here for the start of their respective practice seasons....... This crap just gets old!!!!!

I'll believe it when I see it. For whatever reason we seem to struggle when it comes to getting foreign players.

This is a little concerning.

We have the deepest team on paper, but getting them all on the floor might be a challenge. I still hold faith that he will be available by November, but I am a little concerned.

If this guy decides not to come because of all the hassle or whatever, and JQ isn’t ready to return, our interior depth takes a major hit.

We would be looking at a Mo D, BG, Moreno, and Noah rotation at the 4 and 5. Maybe Williams can fill in some as well.

This is the all too familiar, we got player x from country y and he will be here after his season is over, then we do not see him. Then we hear he will not be here in the summer but now for fall classes. This has happened too many times and UK does not go after players outside usa too often.

He very well might be the first guy in wildcat lodge come August and is ready to hit the ground running. He will need to just to get on the same page as the other 13 players that had the summer to get started doing things the CMP way, UK way. He will have to build relationships (even if he is texting these guys daily) when he gets here. He will have to deal with the food here, microbes in water here and so forth. That in itself can put a halt of training.

Like the way he plays, hope he is here ASAP, fully healthy, ready to go.

JQ is on track, unless he has a major setback I think he will be ready for action early November. He will be in game shape (cardio) early as he should be running and lifting regularly this fall.
