Never did and damn sure wouldn't ask any of these kids for a autograph.

Me and Coach Crum played many rounds of golf years ago and I found it flat comical groupies asking for autographs.

They all put they pants on just like you and I.

Same. I don't understand why people do that.

I believe alot of these choices are based on the players you may have talked too, met, or had a autograph signed. I rode a elevator with James Lee and Jack givens in Louisville at the executive inn ,during what use to be the ky. In. all stars against the USA all stars in 75 . also got a ride home from Kevin grevey and Jimmy Dan Conner basketball camp in 75 man that was cool . Kenny walker shopped at Beaumont krogers alot met him several times delivering that store . Larry Johnson Marion Haskins Rick robey,Mike Flynn ,Kyle macy, Sam bowie, Bob guyette ,and Derrick hord played golf ⛳️ to name a few. I have met them through the years cool to be a Kentucky fan so many memories . "GO CATS"

Ford when I was little. Started watching when Pitino came in and liked Ford the most. Prince when I was in my 20s. Miller more recently. I liked Jones a lot until he went and kicked a homeless man. Dude helped win several early games for the’11-‘12 team, just took over when the rest of the guys were out of sorts.

Meeks should have been an all time fan favorites if he stayed one more year. I hope someone years from now says Butler; you know, some kid that just started getting into KY basketball when they grow up.

Keith Bogans will probably always be #1 for me. Darius Miller an extremely close 2nd.

Downes Van Zandt, you said it.

1.a. Chuck Hayes. (My internet wifi password is Cats-44-CH. Lol) My heart broke for him when we lost in the Elite 8 in 2005 to Mich. State. He was an absolute WARRIOR.
1.b. Jodie Meeks. Loved watching him play. Always felt like he was in control when the ball was in his hands.
1.c. Patrick Patterson. Couldn't believe we landed him. Always thought he'd end up at Florida. Loved watching him play.

Cliff Hawkins. Tyler Ulis had worked his way up there, but he's no longer on top after the last season or two.

I took my kids to blue white game Bogans last year, he was running late and tried to get in a door that was locked, my son (7 or 8) at the time ran over and opened the door at memorial back then around the back side. Even though he was late, he stopped kneeled down and talked to him for a couple of minutes. He was super nice to do that.

Nice balancing act. One guy (Hayes) was physical as hell and lived on the interior, the other (Meeks) more agile and lived on the perimeter. One guy could shoot lights out while the other guy could barely shoot a lick.

I think Chuck probably got the most out of what skills he did have as any UK player in my lifetime, and I’m 38 years old.

Brute strong, great effort and teamwork, excellent footwork, just all of the intangibles. He was a joy to watch.

I loved watching Chuck and I'm sure I'm not alone. I think nearly every UK fan likes Chuck Hayes. I can't imagine being a UK fan and NOT liking Chuck Hayes. Everything you said is true, plus he was just a stand-up dude. Never heard a bad word about him. Not even years after he left Kentucky and played several years in the pros. As much as people want to give Tubby crap saying he couldn't recruit and didn't bring in UK caliber players (and the last few years it was definitely trending that way) during his first handful he was doing fine, bringing in guys like Tayshaun, Bogans, Chuck, Fitch, Azabuike, etc.
