What games do you have circled?

Which games are you looking ahead to for next season?

    OOC

louisville- first game of the season, and this is most hyped they’ve been in forever

unc- I just want to kick their ass before Hubert gets canned

St. John’s- Pope/Pitino storyline, and should be two highly ranked teams

    SEC

bama- they are owed a beatdown after last season

ark- Cal storyline aside, I just dislike that whole program and fanbase

So many good OOC games to pick from but probably the St. Johns game. In SEC, Arkansas payback

      OOC: IU and UL

SEC: I think we've got to get Arkansas back.

All of them but especially UL. Their little brother syndrome is peaking right now. 🤣

As much as I hate Louisville, Arkansas...

I still can't believe the freak showed rolled out of Lexington with a W...

As much as I like Pope, still disappointed in that game. All week Pope talked about how great Cal was at Kentucky and all the things he did while Cal was telling his players to rip off there heads...

Cal played him like a fiddle...

Lesson learned, Pope will learn from that moving forward...

Not gonna lie.... beating Arkansas and St. John's will be huge. Arkansas because of Cal and revenge for last year, and St. John's because they're a top 10 team coached by a Hall of Fame coach who Pope absolutely reveres. A win would show a bit of an edge that I wanna see out of Pope.

Revenge game - Alabama. Partly because they swept us (3-0) last year, and partly because Nate Oats didn't jump at being mentioned as possible coach.

OOC - A follow up to Gonzaga to prove that wasn't a fluke and a win against Michigan State would be huge statement wins.

CAN'T LOSE GAMES! Indiana and Louisville.

I’m looking forward to the St. John’s game. Both teams should be ranked, probably both in the top 10, maybe both in the top 5.

Their starting five looks pretty impressive, if everything comes together.

                  Should be a good matchup.

                  G Lowe vs. Jackson
                  G Aberdeen vs. Sanon
                  G Oweh vs. Sellers
                  F Dioubate vs. Hopkins
F Quaintance (or Garrison) vs. Ejiofor

I like our backcourt better. None of their guys is on Oweh’s level, but Jackson showed some flashes. He was really highly ranked out of HS and could develop into a stud. Still like our guys better.

The frontcourt matchup is going to be must see TV, especially if JQ is available. Eijiofor is a beast down low and if Hopkins plays like he did at Providence before getting hurt two years ago, he’s a problem. I really like both guys, very physical. But Mo D is known for his “bully ball” so I don’t think Hopkins will have an easy go of it. JQ might be the key, though. If he is ready to go, we should be able to handle those two.

And it’s hard for a coach to outcoach his mentor, so Pitino has an edge there. Pope has his work cut out for him trying to outsmart his old coach. Pitino is still one of the best college basketball minds out there.

I think both teams have Final Four potential.

Tennessee games because I’m from there and grew up with an absolute hatred of those clowns. Ready to get back to yearly poundings.

Even though it's an exhibition game, Purdue is definitely one. How our backcourt can handle Smith is going to be highly interesting, and may set a tone for the rest of the season.

There's gonna be A LOT of intensity around that game, even though it doesn't count.

It wasn't that surprising. You kind of had to figure it meant more to Arkansas than it did to us. Maybe not the fans, but Thiero, Wagner, and Z had to be fired up to play for their coach who they felt was disrespected here.

Do we know if this will be on one of the ESPNs or some type of pay to watch event (I remember a few schools did these as charity events last season)?

You would think it would be televised but not sure.

The Kansas/Arkansas exhibition was on TV last October, but IIRC it was on something like CBS Sports and not one of the major networks.

I got the calendar circled from Late Sept to April 2026. I am hoping for a big big big year. I am not expecting it, tired of situations that derail our team. Just a hope for now.
