Cawood retired from broadcasting when I was in my early teens. But I still listened to him call a ton of games from the 1980s through the early 1990s. He and Ralph Hacker were dynamite! I remember sometime in the mid 2000s, may have been 2004 or 2005, somewhere along in there, that WLAP or some station would replay old UK broadcasts at nights on the weekends. I cherished those opportunities to be able to experience games that were played before I was even born. I'd love to see something like that resurrected, where classic broadcasts are replayed at night on the weekends. Surely those games would generate more local interest than whatever lame, syndicated talk shows get aired in those time slots.
