    He's gotta stay healthy, obviously.

I'm not sure how well his game translates to current NBA. Gonna have to get a lot more polished offensively than he was last year.

A LOT more polished!!! Like, night and day difference!

I think some people's expectations of Quaintence are unrealistic. I think they'd better prepare themselves for a poor man's Ben Wallace than some version of Hakeem Olajuwon. If he's physically impactful and a great athlete with a great wingspan and he's rebounding, passing and blocking shots ... I'll be happy. But the way some people are acting I think they're expecting 15 to 20 points a game, and they're probably going to be disappointed.

The NBA just needs his frame, length and athleticism, they'll use those attributes to build a great NBA 4 out of him. It doesn't matter what he does in college.
Look how quickly they polished Justin Edwards and that guy stunk it up bad last year.
Guys that get blocked by the rim don’t usually even get to the NBA.

Every keeps saying stuff about his FT percentage, which is fair but have we forgot that players can improve. He has a nice looking stroke, there’s really no reason he can’t bring it up to 65-70% which would be amazing.

For next level, he will have to prove he can shoot it from the outside or at least show it can be improved.

Unfortunately, old school post bigs are a dying breed.

For all that crap Pitino took before getting fired in Boston ( lifelong Celtics fan), the NBA changed its defensive rules the very next year which started this modern day game of NBA basketball. Another year in Boston and a pinball drop for Duncan, I doubt the UL gig ever happened.

At that time I was working at Valhalla and two weeks before Rick was hired, Papa John and Rick was playing golf damn near every day.

I think JQ has the potential to be a beast for us. I don't expect him to be an offensive juggernaut, but he'll certainly get his share. I suspect he'll easily average double figures just off dunks, lobs, put backs and cuts. We don't need him to be taking a bunch of jump shots out there. Just rebound like a mad man, defend and score when the opportunity presents itself. With the way Pope's team pass and put up shots, he'll get plenty of opportunities. I'd like to see him turn into a more athletic version of Oscar.

Rebounding and help side defense was a Achilles heel for us last year. I believe J Q can remedy this and be a defensive juggernaut. "Go Cats"
