I did hear this, too - that he's a defensive liability and a turnover waiting to happen.

Doesn't matter. Quaintance says he's blocking everything.
Going forward, Christian Laettner volunteers to catch any dildos flung on a basketball court - or anywhere else.

Brown is legit. I don't know if I'd go as far as saying he'll be the best player on the court when we play (though that very well could be the case), but he's a really good player.

Unfortunately for Louisville, they don't have much depth because they tossed all their money at a few good players. I think Louisville is about as deep as our 2012 championship team. They're one injury away from checking out for however long that player is down.

We could lose 4-5 players and still have better depth than the Cards. Our 3rd-5th string centers are a former Euro pro who's a 20-something freshman, a 5* MCDAA, and a 7'1 junior who has two years of D1 experience.

So yeah, Mikel is good and a huge component of a great Louisville starting lineup, but the drop-off after Brown et al. is... Drastic.

Maybe in the long run, if JQ isn't healthy yet.

I'd put Cool Mo D on him first and switch it up with Aberdeen.

Friendly reminder. Kid is 6'3 weighing in at a buck 72.

Good player but soon he will be playing grown man basketball.

Where is Jamal Maglore when you need him?

Oh that's right, Brandon Garrison is carrying the torch. One time in the paint I would put him on the ground and see how he reacts...

With all due respect, could care less about Brown pink yellow red or whatever his name is. He's a Cardinal and Louisville sucks, I hope they lose every game they play.

What's the status of Andrija Jelavic, anyone here have any insight???

Steal of the class. A player who's 6'11 7'5 wingspan who can put the ball on the floor and space the floor is a must plus he's 22. I liked Carr (old school working man's game) but AJ is a huge upgrade.

There's a whole thread about it.

They're facing obstacles getting him over here on a visa, but hopefully they can get it cleared up in time for the season.

The immigration issue is dicey at the moment.

We have had 20 Mike Pink Yellow Red and BROWN'S come through Kentucky, how many Championships did we win?

Now I will say that Pat whatever his name is is probably a better X's and O's coach than Cal but Cal for the most part is still a master at keeping a all world talent's ego in check.

Pink Yellow Red or Brown's biggest challenge will be keeping his ego in check. It's all already started, U of L fans are hyping it up as if he's the second coming of M. ALI, can this kid handle all that pressure????

Is he coming here to get medicaid stamps and a free ride to Harvard??

What's the hold up, international players been coming here years.

I assume after the season is over he's going back home...

Like i said, if this was Duke or Kansas Joker and Luca would be eligible to play right now...

Brown is no joke. Had high hopes of UK landing him at one point. But at the same time, I personally don't sweat him with our options to defend and attack him.

He will be a very good player for the dirty birds though.

I’ve seen him play a few times. Super talented and can get anywhere he wants to on the floor. That being said, he misses some bunnies, seems to be a shoot first PG, and really haven’t seen him stop anyone as a defender. Reminds me of several Cal PGs. IMHO, he alone won’t beat UK, even at home. They will need 15+ threes to beat us.

His eligibility isn't the issue. Getting him stateside is.

Unless you haven't been paying attention, we have a current administration that is taking a hardline stance on immigration, and despite what they tell you on Fox, it's not just extending to illegals. It's making visas difficult. I think ultimately he should be here, but it's currently a process in a way it wasn't just a few months ago.

(This is not a partisan political post. He asked and I'm delivering the information, as we know it today).
