    Way too early Bracketology

Florida benefited from the transfer portal -- and some key NBA draft withdrawals -- to get to the top line.

I'm curious to see how Boogie Fland performs at Florida. I'm guessing he's going to have a breakout season. He showed flashes of greatness under Cal, but the team seemed to perform better when he was out.

It wouldnt surprise me if he did. Cal had a way of making really great scorers look mediocre in College.

I’m thinking there is a 99% chance Florida isn’t the top seed next year.

Their three guards from last year were special.

          1) I accidentally edited your original post in an attempt to quote you. I just got moderator access today, and I'm still trying to navigate the buttons, because I'm technologically brain-dead. My bad!

          2) The truly great scorers were great with or without Cal (think Lamb, Monk, Murray, Reeves, etc.)

Fland is an exceptional playmaker, but like Reed and Rob, he was hamstrung by splitting time with DJ Wagner, and playing out of position half the time.

          Again: Cal.

Florida has young talented coach. It will be interesting to see how they do this year. The games between him and Pope should continue to be epic.

Here’s my current prediction for the top four seeds in each region:

              Midwest

              1 Purdue
              2 UConn
              3 Arkansas
              4 Iowa St.

              East

              1 Houston
              2 UF
              3 Duke
              4 Illinois

              South

              1 UK
              2 Michigan
              3 UofL
              4 Texas Tech

              West

              1 St. John’s
              2 BYU
              3 Alabama
              4 UCLA

^ That looks good to me...but Texas Tech might be a little low? They're gonna have the Naismith winner probably. I can see them being a team that clips together a lot of wins through the season behind Toppin.

Trying to remember the last supposed Cal one-n-don(er) that returned for their sophomore campaign, but with another SEC school….

He wasn't a supposed one-and-done, but Daimion Collins went to LSU.

A little off-topic, but what Aaron Bradshaw did against us in that Ohio State game this past season bugged the piss out of me.

NO KIDDING. The kid has one decent game in 2 years and it happens against us.

edit: didn't see you specified SEC school.

Texas Tech will be very good, and I may have them too low. Wouldn’t be surprised if they end up on the 2 or 3 seed line. The Big 12 is going to be nasty with Houston, BYU, and Iowa St. also contenders for conference champs. It’s almost as nasty as the SEC. Almost.
