I agree about Florida. I tend to think Clayton made them who they were. I felt like that actually the year before as well. Extraordinary college basketball player.

If you're in the top 10 and can stick there for most of a season, you'll be in the Final Four hunt. That's all you can ask for. With our schedule we're going to drop some games probably, but we're going to beat some good teams as well.

Roster-wise I think we're right around the top 5. But as others have said: the field is gonna be a bit stacked.

St. John’s and UL look overrated to me, but both should rack up some wins from weak conference schedules

The media and UF fans are underestimating the impact of losing Clayton (not to mention their entire backcourt).

Some are convinced it’s Golden’s brilliance and ability to develop guards.

I honestly believe some UF fans think Golden could turn Michael Porter and Josh Carrier into a championship backcourt.

Golden is really good, but he has his limits. You don’t just replace all four rotation players from your elite backcourt and expect the same results.

Kind of interesting the pattern in our history since the 50’s.

50’s- 2 titles.
60’s- no titles.
70’s- 1 title.
80’s- no titles.
90’s- 2 titles.
00’s- no titles.
10’s- 1 title.
20’s(so far)- no titles.

Even decades have not been kind to us. I think, IIRC, we only have two Final Fours in even decades since the 40’s: 1966 and 1984.

Kind of crazy how it’s played out.
