I say this record does stand the test of time. I cannot see a team matching that feat ever again. Was a great streak and had a few luck wins during that streak. Vern Hatton saved that streak 2 times IIRC.

Speaking of Rupp, just added a sweet Rupp auto to the memorabilia. Getting to the point where I see I buy.

100%. I've stated on this forum more once that is the most unbreakable record.

Records are made to be broken, so maybe one day.

But I'd venture to say that this one is pretty safe.

                Interesting.

I thought UCLA would have had more than one appearance, considering their steak of dominance under Wooden.

This has to be up there with some of the complete game/innings pitched records in baseball for being almost impossible to even threaten after the game has changed so much. There’s just so much more talent playing the sport now than there was back then, and it’s distributed a little more evenly too. It’s telling that the only one of those streaks from the last 40 years is a Gonzaga program that was a perennial top 10 team playing in a mid-major conference, and even they came up 53 games short.

That will never be broken. Not even close. Way more parity n modern game as well but even if there wasn't, still wouldn't be broken.

What is our second longest streak? I remember we didnt lose a home game first 3 years of cal tenure so assuming that was close to 50 games. Not even half of 129 though.

Geo tech ended the cats streak on a last second desperation shot.
Memorial collesium was magic especially for us old timers that can still remember those times

                          That's an interesting factoid.

Looking at Jon Scott, it looks like Kentucky started another winning streak after that game, but it was ended early the next season by Temple.

I doubt it. Only one from that list was during my life, and that is Zaga. I’d assume that is filled with a lot of unranked and cupcake teams. Most of their big games are on neutral courts.

Probably one of the more impressive streaks in college bball when you really think about it.

If it were to happen, it would surely be long after I've shuffled off this mortal coil.
Going forward, Christian Laettner volunteers to catch any dildos flung on a basketball court - or anywhere else.
