His son should be on here with an update at some point.

I am sorry to bring this news. Sreve means a lot to us here at WCN, and the folks at the tailgates.
I will certainly miss him. Steve was an early riser like me. When he was still going to the SEC tourneys, I knew he would be drinking coffee and eating breakfast in the hotel when I was 😢

That’s such terrible news. So sorry for Steve and his family, and for those of you who were close friends with him in person.

Steve is a Godly, faithful man. I am sure he didn’t want to leave his family, but at the same time knows where he is going and smiling.

I met Steve at a tailgate where he was doing all the cooking while Rick watched...

In seriousness, Steve met my wife and my daughter, and we talked like we had known each other for years. I loved reading his write-ups back in the day, helping us all understand the rules. Lighthouse was a great guy, and I can't express how much he will be missed.

I'm sure he will be cheering on the Cats from a new seat.

Very saddened to hear of the news. I got to meet Steve around 2007, and then enjoyed several tailgates with him thereafter as well as the 2010 SEC tournament.

He was a top shelf gentleman and will be truly missed.

This is certainly not what any had hoped.
                  continued prayers

Steve was and is a man of great faith. I am sure he doesnt worry about himself but prays for those that stay here. There is an old saying that when a believer dies, God sheds a tear...but not for the believer, for those that will mourn and miss him.

Steve possesses an enormous love for his savior, his wife, his family...and for the joy of Kentucky sports. It has been an honor and a pleasure to speak with him a couple of times and to share posts on this site. For me, he has given me support in some tough times. Perhaps some others of us have experienced that as well......and can pass that on to others.

God's peace to Steve and his family. Prayers for miracles, but reality that God's will is what it is.

                        Peace to all.

I will miss LH's posting. He had interesting takes and was able to offer a different perspective than what we have. More importantly, from all accounts, he was who he said he was.

Just putting out there that although, I am not a praying man, I did get to my knees this morning and asked God to make Steve's travels as peaceful as they can be. God speed, my friend, you will be missed by all of us who had the honor to spend time with you.

So sad to hear this news. I have never met Steve, but I have interacted with him on this site numerous times. As mentioned several times, he is a man of faith and his encouragement to me when going through my divorce was always centered around godly counsel and advice.

Praying for his family, and praying that when he wakes next to see the face of God, that God welcomes him home with open arms as His own.
