    Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Named NBA MVP

A historic honor for Shai. One of the greatest success stories Kentucky has ever had on the individual level.

Not bad for Quade Green's backup.

            From the other thread!!

Suprisingly, SGA is a player whom in college I really didn't see the potential. It irked me that Cal had him playing point at Kentucky, I just didn't see it nor did I see a long time future for him in the NBA. He had the size and length but so have many others that have come before him.

SGA is a prime example of a player who just EVOLVED as time went on, now he is certified ELITE and then some...

Congratulations but at the same time, may have watched 5 minutes of the entire finals, still salty over the Celtics loss..

Basketball fatigue, summer break, patiently waiting for October 2025...

I'm salty that my Pacers took the L, and even saltier than next season is probably lost too, due to Haliburton's injury.

But congrats to Shai and Cason.

What’s up with all these torn Achilles lately? Suddenly seems like a thing?

My friend's wife tore hers three or four years ago shooting a free throw at a kid's birthday party. Her surgeon told her that injury is way more common than you'd think with even non-athletes once they reached middle age. She told me the percentage of people who injure it and it's pretty crazy.

I had tendinitis in my Achilles last year...was in a walking boot for 4 weeks and did 6 months of PT...it was painful...can't imagine having a torn achilles
