I loved this interview. Learned a lot about the man and how he feels about his team.

This is a really good interview. Highly recommend folks giving it a look.
Pope is definitely not shrinking from the NIL era. His point about how it's exciting because of all the data you have to run is fascinating. He's exactly the kind of personality you need to face this challenge, because most coaches are going to just get jaded with how crazy this is.
The story he told about the fan at the end of the interview is great.👍 1Comment

Thanks for posting, it's a good interview that touches on just about everything.
He really gushes talking about Mo Dioubate, and I think he might be rooting hardest for Garrison.
The energy he exudes is reminiscent of Calipari in the first 5 years or so.👍 3Comment

Good watch. He said a lot without saying too much. So now we have St Johns over UCLA but do not think that is the other marquee matchup he is talking about as it just took the place of one. Who else could we see in the regular season before SEC play, UNC, Villanova, Creighton, BYU?
He said he would like to add a player then said a couple. I am sure to learn the system this year but will that just be someone here a year and leave to the portal? I guess it is worth the risk.Proverbs 25:24Comment

^ I think the timing of this interview coming out less than 24 hours before St. John's was announced suggests it was probably St. John's he was talking about.
As for the players he wants to add, he'd like to redshirt them to bank them for down the road. They're obviously trying to figure out a way to stay away from the constant yearly roster turnover. The programs that get lucky (a good chunk of the SEC this year, Houston) and keep players will be the ones who win national championships.Comment
