Ha! For sure. It was definitely frustrating to watch the difference in the halves. I didn't see any bad calls, just things called in the second half that weren't in the first. Overall, I think the crew did a great job.

Any inconsistency is caused by the players and what they give the officials to call. Last night Florida changed their method of play and it paid off. But their physicality caused Houston to respond, causing more fouls. Happens a lot.

I’ve seen it some at the high school level in order to seal the weak side defender to set up a lob. They looked like moving screens to me and they weren’t called there either. To make it simple, it was a screen and it was moving.

If this was done away from the basket it would be called (or maybe not) a moving screen.

I will have to see it happen to form an opinion. Probably something else the NCAA has allowed so as to improve the game.

Happens a lot. Announcers will even say something like "that was a great seal by so and so." Basically like a box out but used for a screen so your teammate gets to the rim.

Gortat seal last night in the NBA, called by Luka. This one is hard to fully see but kinda looks legal. Most of the ones in college are iffy.

Lemme ask this, do refs go into halftime and break down their half...discuss if there are area's they need to work on or what they were seeing fro. The players.
That may could cause a change in calls...wouldn't it??

I wouldn't be opposed to seeing the NCAA court like the NBA court, 16 foot wide lanes and 23 foot 3 point shots.

With NIL, technically all players are professionals plus the 3 point line moved back would be a good thing in my opinion.

Not usually, because only the players can change the game. The officials do go into halftime and discuss the first half, but the first item is if they missed any calls. Remember, they're the last ones leaving the court at halftime. They will discuss a player or coach who they feel is getting out of hand. But they mostly use the restroom, drink some water and set back for a few. They have to start back with 3 minutes left in the half

I've been in the room with officials during half time of high school games. I never heard anything more than what you describe. The majority of the time they were just having normal conversations not related to the game.
