Auburn lost 3 out of 4. They may win the whole thing still but the unraveling has been there a while.

I didn't watch the Alabama/Tennessee game because I watched the Big 10 (and took a nap), but Grant Nelson left the game in that one, which partly explains the lopsided score.
But what's worse (for Alabama) is that it looks like the injury may be serious.Comment

They flashed a stat up: Alabama allowed an opponent 90+ points 8 times (4-4 record). I missed if there was something more (a record or somesuch).
UK allowed 90+ 7 times (2-5 record). Alabama was 3 of those, Auburn 1, Ole Miss 1, and 2 wins: MissSt and Florida.Last edited by justafan; 03-16-2025, 11:37 AM.Comment

Until Pitino retires, i will never feel comfortable knowing the best coach in college basketball isn't coaching at the University of Kentucky.
Coach of the year,👍 1Comment

We don’t even have the best coach in the SEC. Not even close. May not even have the best coach in the state.
BUT what you hope for as a Kentucky fan is that Pope goes through here, improves, gets great players…and we can look at things in 2035 and say we did have one of the sport’s best.
Pope is at the beginning of something here. Guys like Pitino are at the end.Comment

It’s close with Coach K but what he’s done this season with a program that has been in the college basketball wilderness for decades drives it home for me. Best ever.👍 1Comment

I’ve been fully against, and mildly disgusted by, BBN’s embrace of Pitino following the Pope hire, but even I’ll admit that if he gets St. John’s to a F4 he’ll be in the conversation for best to ever do it. He’d be the only coach to take four different programs to a F4, and that’s about as elite as it gets - arguably more impressive than what Wooden or K accomplished. Those two had the stability and resources that come with longevity at elite programs, while Pitino has shown he can win big pretty much anywhere.
You only do that if you’re an amazing coach.Comment
