I turned the Hogs off around 5 min into the second half last night. Was 34-35 Arkansas. Clearly they got some separation down the stretch and you cannot deny the boxscore. But there was plenty of same old crap going on for a long time in that game. Huge disparity in talent and virtually no disparity in the score. They can have it.Comment

David Sisk on the play I mentioned above, Garrison switching onto Flagg and locking him down. Then rim-running to the other end and getting a lay-up. This may have been the plays of the game right here.
Man I thought Garrison played great. We've got something with him if he'll stick with it.

He put in some great minutes, but the top of the key threes should probably stop.David Sisk on the play I mentioned above, Garrison switching onto Flagg and locking him down. Then rim-running to the other end and getting a lay-up. This may have been the plays of the game right here.

Dude hit the only one he shot, and it was huge. (It was a long 2.)
If they aren't going to go out there and get you, might as well fire it at least once a game. It's the kind of thing Towns and Cousins begged Cal to do but he'd never let them.Comment

Great write up!
I’d say Coach Pope addressed the issue of playing tougher at halftime. Early on, some of the Duke players were trying to get in our player’s heads by the usual playground nonsense on deadballs (getting in our guy’s face, elbows, knocking their hands down, etc). They were grabbing and holding on defense and getting way too tight. There’s only one way to counter that and that’s to take it right back at them. I thought we were much better at that aspect of the game in the second half.Comment

This is what Kerr Kriisa was born to do. While laughing about it if he can see it’s getting under someone’s skin.Great write up!

After the Duke win Pope could have called it a night, he called in to KSR.
Pope had Tubby meet with the team. Conclusion, a first year coach can win a title.
This Pope goes above and beyond daily..👍 2Comment
