Aly Khalifa was one of the most underrated transfers last offseason, which I highlighted in my blog. If he goes to Kentucky, he will become one of the most talked about bigs in the country due to his unique skillset. He will be the 10th best transfer at http://EvanMiya.com.

I'm not exactly interested in becoming BYU East, and not saying we would if we take this one guy. But I'd rather Jaxson Robinson, and don't really want to take more than one.

Not entirely sure we'll have much of a choice. I think it might be a beggars/choosers thing in this first season.

The sudden influx of NIL is giving me quite a bit of hope, and, perhaps unfairly to Pope and team, is raising my expectations. I would like to him start recruiting from our own roster. There's some guys in there that could be really good with a year of experience and in a new system

I believe that. As much as I love UK, if Reed was my son I'd likely point him in the direction of the NBA. Just makes sense!

Meh, I’m not in favor of bringing these guys in just because they have a connection to UK. Mashburn Jr cannot shoot, like can’t shoot at all. Doesn’t facilitate, isn’t a good defender. He’s not a high major guy.

19 PPG on 38% 3 point shooting year before last says otherwise. Definitely had a down year this past one. But I don't know how picky we're going to be able to be. I don't know what the portal looks like and I think he could get back to that form with this offense. I agree that he can't be the main piece. But for this year I think he could help.

We’re in a world of hurt next year.

That’s a given. This is a bigger thing than just next year. We’re just gonna have to come to grips with that. This is a build. That was inevitable years ago when you looked at how Cal built rosters and how he was just going to rip the stuffing out of the program when he left.
