    UK Schedule Updates 2015-16

Matt Jones tweeted that UK will play EKU in Rupp on December 9th next season.

So far some of the non conference games we know are:

    Duke in the Champions Classic

Ohio State in the CBS Classic

at UCLA I think this one has been finalized.

    at UNC

    Louisville in Rupp

Next years team has quite a challenge in the non conference.

Some more pieces to the schedule puzzle have been filled. UK will play Wright State and Illinois State in November at Rupp. Illinois State was pretty good last season. They made it to the MVC Finals and lead Northern Iowa a good part of that game. Might not be that easy of a game.
Also mentioned was a game with South Florida in Miami the day after Thanksgiving. I am assuming that's a favor to Antigua.

Matt Jones ‏@KySportsRadio 3m3 minutes ago According to my sources, Kentucky is close to signing a contract with Arizona State to come to Rupp this season on Dec 12

^ I was about to post that. That leaves two Saturdays in December not filled. I am assuming UL will be Dec 26th. Dec 5th may be UNC. That would be only day in between the UCLA game so that may not happen that way. I thought it was wierd that the UCLA game was on a Thursday. I wonder if that's a mis-print?

They also have the Big 12/SEC challenge on the road - either against Kansas or Ok St. Hope it's Ok St as the schedule is becoming pretty crazy.

Someone named Jon Rothstein tweeted that UK will play NJIT November 14th in Rupp. I assume that will be the first game of the season.

Interesting game. That's the team that beat Michigan last year.

New Jersey Institute of Technology. Basically a bunch of computer engineering nerds. They did beat Michigan last year. That was the first time they had ever played a top 25 team and they won. Of course Michigan proved to be far from a top 25 team last season. Also on that same day the football Cats will be playing in Vanderbilt. It will be interesting to see how UK tap dances with the time of the basketball game since the football times are not announced until a week or so before the game.

I really like our OOC schedule. Looks like some serious games again next year. Only makes our guys better, I hope.

Matt Jones tweeted that Albany is on the schedule too. My guess is that it will be shortly after the Duke game.

Here's the Sporting News take on UK playing NJIT. NJIT is an independent. One of the very few schools without a conference. They play in a 500 seat gym for their home games. Quite a difference coming to Rupp to play.

Matt Jones just tweeted that UK will play at Kansas on January 30th in the Big12/SEC challenge. That makes for one tough non conference schedule. Jeeeeesh.

I think only one more non conference game will round it out. With the way things it will probably be at Maryland,Virginia or some other top ten school.

Here's the entire challenege schedule. They should have put Tennessee against Texas. That would have made it more interesting.
