Most sports are constantly hiring coaches that failed with other teams. Its amazing to me that a coach can be fired and then hired in less than 24 hours (see Barnes from UT to UT).

Can an AD overlook the fact that Pelphrey failed miserably at Arkansas? Nothing wrong with being a career assistant. I remember when Kyle Macey got into coaching and some UK fans thought he would set the world on fire. That didn't happen. St Johns just hired a former player with no coaching experience. I don't see that working out.

I'd much rather see a program take a flyer on a guy like Chris Mullins, who has no coaching experience, than going to the same well over and over again with the usual suspects. At some point, some new people have to start getting opportunities.

I wouldn't move to Florida if I was paid a large sum of money. I don't understand why anyone would want Little Eddie Munster to coach in Lexington? I sometimes wonder about some of my fellow Kentucky fans who would rather have a coach from the Pitino tree, than choosing the best possible coach.

Donovan got lucky to have those players return. His time has come and gone, that is why he is getting out. You may have Donovan ranked in the top 5, not me. He was top 5 when he had that crazy two year run. That run was a long time ago. No sir, I would not like to see any of the Pitino clan nor any of the Pitino coaching tree back in Lexington. That train moved out a long time ago.
