Game Thread: Vandy vs. Kentucky

So here we go. Nothing needs to be said, really, except maybe this: I watched all of Vandy's game against LSU last night because I'm a masochist, and you have to keep them from driving the ball. If you cut off their drives you win. If you let them get into the paint they can really hurt you. They basically don't run sets as much as they just run a version of dribble-drive, trying to crash the paint with various players every trip. They often drive it from straight out front, so it's not even really like they try to mask what they're doing.

Stop it and we win this easily. If we don't we're going home.

Game is at 9:30 on SEC Network barring overtimes or whatnot.

Were you awake by 05:30 this morning ? I nearly always fail at converting back to sleeping at night / being awake during the day. I went to bed around 9pm last night.

So IF I don't manage to be awake all game, well, obviously it's Cal's fault.

I'm gonna go into the admin panel and set up an alert so that it pings to Downes' phone every time I post. Then I'm gonna stay up til 3:00 a.m. watching Cal Northridge vs. Cal Suny Obispo Polytechnic and live post the whole thing, every single basket, so he thinks the world's ending or something.

In all seriousness I was on octane levels of Jameson last night. And I did stay up to scout Vandy for Cal. And I did stay up even after that to watch the endings of various terrible games, none of which were close.

Why? Because I'm tough. That's really all there is to it.

The Jameson was the next thing I bought after the chainsaw.

I made three purchases actually: Jameson, saw, an old VHS copy of Death Wish. This is how I prepare for March hoops.
