      Thanks for posting. Will.

Before I knew he was gone, we were already feeling the loss of his presence in the political forum when we went a few days without his input. He was very smart, very funny, and had an intellectual curiosity that I really enjoyed. In a lot of ways, Dwight showed the person behind the avatar in the best sort of way.

I know he loved his wife and two little kids and my heart goes out to them.

In as much as one can be a "friend" by only connecting through a forum like this, I considered him one.

I'm sorry to hear this. I never met him, as I do not believe I've met any of the other members here in person.
But there are certain members on here that I feel like I do actually "know," due to interactions or reading their posts on here.

          Prayers for his family.

So sad. I go way back to WCF days with Mel. Can not remember a time he didn’t post. Prayers for his young family

That is absolute terrible news, prayers for his wife and two children, you just never know day to day, have to count our blessings and just be thankful to be alive each and everyday. Over the years he and i didn't see eye to eye in the political forum but at the end of the day, we are all just trying to survive and live our best lives the only way we know how. My heart breaks for his wife and two children, sometimes it just doesn't seem fair, praying for comfort and peace during this difficult time....

A few things I know about him are that he loved getting on his John Deere and mowing his largish lawn. Also, that he liked to cook/grill. I’ve reread some of his posts in other forums, but just now noticed that he contributed several posts to the “Recipes” sticky thread at the top of the General Discussion forum. I might grill a steak or two and some asparagus as he mentioned in one of his posts. Just in case you’re interested and want to try a few of the recipes he thought were good enough to share.

He also loved the Red River Gorge. I went out to Auxier Ridge today to sort of clear my mind, and fittingly had the area largely to myself.

Really sad news. Dwight was bright, well written and absolutely passionate about subjects in the political and sports arena.

Awful tragedy for his wife and kids. My heart goes out to them.
The man was an original, and his written debates were well thought.
this board is weaker without him.

Dwight chewed me up and spit me out many times on the political board, and more often than not I deserved it.

prayers for his family for what they have gone through and are going through.

no great words. God's mercy to his family and friends.

Well said Will. I never met Dwight but fell like I knew him through his posts. He was passionate about our Cats, and his beliefs. I appreciate that a lot. We truly have lost a great WCN member. Praying for his Family as they walk this path. May God give them His Peace and Strength.
