Legendary College Basketball Coach Dies At 80

One of the greatest head coaches in ACC basketball history has died.

Terry Holland, the longtime Virginia Cavaliers basketball coach, has died at the age of 80.

"Terry Holland, the gentlemanly coach who brought Ralph Sampson to Charlottesville and turned the University of Virginia into a college basketball power, has died at the age of 80," USA TODAY reported.

He had some great teams. When I lived in Va. Beach, I would cheer for Virginia in the ACC as they had a few KY boys on the team- Lee Raker and Jeff Lamp. I thought Ralph Sampson was going to play at Kentucky with Sam Bowie but that did not happen.
RIP. I always loved it when his teams would beat Carolina.
