Livingston has been used so oddly this year and his playing time has been so erratic--sometimes rightly, sometimes not even close to rightly--that I really can't see him returning.

Gun to my head I'd say the returners will be Fredrick, Thiero, Onyenso, and we'll pick up somebody in the portal.

What about Reeves? I was sure he was a super senior, but no still has a covid year left. Don't see him a much of a pro player. Might play overseas.

Not sure. I assume he could take a COVID year but it looks like the rule is players get 6 years to play 4. So I have no clue.

Not that it'll matter. We're only going to return three or four of these guys. I didn't add Daimion Collins simply because of family stuff but I read somewhere--maybe on here--that he said recently he was planning on coming back.

If Reeves has another year, he might improve his draft status by returning. Guys I don't want returning, the Oscar we've had the last two games, CJ, Wheeler.

I like CJ...but as a role player. This team is calling on him to do things he isn't capable of doing. On a young team coming in as offense off the bench...I think he could play that role. He's also shown that he isn't afraid to be a vocal leader and with all the kids we'll have next season, that could be big.

This team isn't set up around him well so his flaws get exploited more. Same for a bunch of them. Next year's team will have MUCH more top-end talent so I think guys like CJ could flourish.

CJ can only flourish if he can make shots. Body hasn’t held up for him to be more than a sniper and currently Sahvir is a better 3 pt shooter than he is. Much like Mintz—he’s lost his touch. Guys who have been shooting all their lives forget how to shoot at UK—recently, that is.

I think it's possible that CJ is having to run off too much stuff. Curl screens, circle action, floppy stuff, whatever--basically because a lot of times he's the only outside shooting option. (Also because he doesn't have the athleticism to shake good defenders.)

Which is kind of my point. On next year's team we'll have way more firepower out there with him. It's possible that he gets some shine off of that.

But he'd have to be okay being like the 8th man, sort of a Kyle Wiltjer role--and those guys are important.

That will be a monumental task and I can't in any universe see them doing it...but if they did they could negate last night and they'd probably be back in.

In short: we're in serious trouble.
Being on the bubble or barely in doesn’t take in consideration the number of upsets that will occur during league tournaments. This season has shown that anything can and will happen. A few upsets in league tournaments pushes the bubble teams off the list.
Like you said, we’re in serious trouble.

I’ve appreciated them trying to run some “stuff” to get open looks. He’s just been missing those looks. But after years of just passing the ball around the perimeter until the end of the clock then jacking up garbage I’m all for trying to get good looks for (supposedly/previously) good shooters. And,yes, there is reason to hope CJ will find his touch—he’s done it before.

I’ll be thrilled if he’s here next year. But I don’t think he’s capable of being anything more than a 3 point specialist. If the other 4 guys on the floor are a threat—he may knock down open 3’s. Think modern day Cameron Mills. But he doesn’t have the length or quickness to stop good offensive players, nor the ability to create his own shot.

Antonio Reeves is 23 years old. He has no draft status and probably never will.

Dude has Europe written all over him.

I watched the game. Long 4.8 seconds to get the winning basket. Vandy’s big guy will give Oscar trouble.

I know everyone loves to see the Vols lose, but this probably diminishes our win over the Vols.

And will hurt us more if they beat us.
