Can't watch the Cats at da bar. They'd call somebody to have me committed. Either that or some dweeb UofL fan would make a run at me and I'd be forced to break out the old brass knucks.

Back to the game...Collins hitting those free throws was an awesome moment for him. I know we hate Cal and Kentucky basketball is a shell of what it once was and everything sucks, but seeing Collins come off after those free throws and the reaction he got was pretty sweet.

I’ll be honest too, I thought we were screwed when he was the one who got fouled.

Castleton has become one of those classic, detestable Florida guys.

It irked me last night how (1) Oscar played like he was scared of Castleton and (2) how we were so intent on hammering the ball down to Oscar every trip knowing he was struggling.

Oscar did pass out a few times but more often he let himself be pushed into just really bad angles.

That we won with him playing like he did offensively shows some growth from this team.

Last year I thought Oscar made us better. I don’t think that this year. He tries to do it all and teams have figured it out (Georgia being the exception).

He’s beloved and deserves it and it might be partly Cal’s fault, but I think he holds us back too much.

The fact that he can still go out there and get 15-20 rebounds is a huge deal though. He gets rebounds nobody else in the sport can get.

He obviously has enormous problems with length and size. I like him more as a passer in games like that, but last night he seemed slow to understand that he couldn't score over Castleton.

I also thought the early part of the game, where he missed those jumpers he usually hits, hurt him. I don't think he ever got it back together after that.

Toppin feasted though at times because they were so stuck to Oscar. Castleton was so intent on making Oscar's life miserable Toppin had a handful of really nice drives where no Florida help came.

Yeah I mean his rebounds are huge, but it’s gotten to the point where I’d he can’t rebound he can’t help is much.

I really wish Damion Collins was a better player because he’s the kind of guy that could go head to head against Castleton.

Think Collins played pretty well and just took the few minutes Lance would've gotten.

Did Cal say why Reeves wasn’t in at the end of the game? Someone mentioned he played bad defense but let’s be honest, a couple of players didn’t play defense either. Reeves is a good free throw shooter and and Florida was going to be fouling us but no Reeves.

Said he got beat on five backdoors.

I counted three or four. One they didn't score on IIRC.

I also just assumed Wheeler being involved in four or five big plays there meant that Cal just went with him. I didn't think it ended up mattering necessarily. The whole game devolved into us pounding it into Oscar and hoping he scored, which he never did. He kicked it out once or twice to CJ but mostly he was just playing one-on-one with Castleton and then giving up crazy baskets to Castleton on the other end.

Did it matter really who was playing guard other than Wallace? Almost nobody got to do anything in the last few minutes outside of Oscar.

Outside from a couple of midrange jumpers, Reeves wasn't even really looking for his shot when he was in the game. He was moving around screens slowly, and he was getting smoked defensively, especially on back cuts.

It would be nice, just once, for both Reeves and Fredrick to have a good game at the same time.
