Bob Tallent of Langley, KY was kicked off of the team in 1967. Jon Scott's site says it was because of back talk but I suspect the real reason was his propensity celebrate made bank shots by rubbing his thumb over his index and middle fingers so as to say "money" .

Interesting. And I like the “money” gesture. Someone should bring that back. Wheeler perhaps. Just kidding. Sounds a lot like Damian Leonard’s wrist tap which signifies “Dame Time.” Or the year Zeke Elliott was good and had his “feed me” move. As an anti-Cowboy I truly hated that one.

I can’t imagine a guy from Kentucky having the “nerve” to talk back to Rupp. It’s disappointing and also mind boggling to me.
